The Proud Boy who smashed a police riot shield through a window at the US Capitol, allowing the first wave of MAGA mafia to storm buildings, has been sentenced to ten years in prison.
Dominic Pezzola, also known as ‘Spaz’, was convicted of a slew of other charges, including assaulting or resisting a police officer, stealing a police shield, vandalizing government property and obstructing official proceedings.
He was accused of leading the Proud Boys in the attack as one of the first rioters to enter the Capitol by using a police shield to break a window, according to a prosecutor’s office file that revealed social media reports. quoted.
Prosecutors said that on Jan. 6, Pezzola smashed a Capitol window that allowed the gang of rioters to storm the building.
His sentence on Friday is the third imposed on far-right members this week.
Their case is one of the most serious of the unprecedented attack, which unfolded on January 6, 2021.
Pezzola was the only one of the group of five Proud Boys not to be convicted of seditious conspiracy.
