Prosecutor won’t oppose Trump sentencing delay in hush money case after high court immunity ruling

Manhattan prosecutors said they are prepared to delay the sentencing of Donald Trump in his hush-money case after the Supreme Court issued a ruling granting presidents broad immunity.

In a letter filed Tuesday, prosecutors from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office said they are prepared to delay the July 11 sentencing for up to two weeks.

The letter came a day after Trump’s lawyer asked the judge to delay the trial as he considered the Supreme Court’s decision and its potential impact on the New York case.

Trump’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment
