Professional surfer Tatiana Weston-Webb reveals how to look gorgeous on the beach

Tatiana Weston-Webb is a Brazilian-American surfer from Kauai, Hawaii.

She is currently on tour with the World Surf League, tied for 5th in the women’s ranking, and has already qualified for her second Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

Known for her good looks, confidence and fearless style on the water, Daily Mail talks to the four-time WSL champion about how to impress this summer.

Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Tatiana prefers a “skimpy” suit with minimal coverage but maximum style

Sun out, sandwiches out

Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Tatiana prefers a “skimpy” suit with minimal coverage but maximum style.

“I like a simple triangle bikini top in small or x-small because I like to tan, and Brazilian cut bottoms,” said the 27-year-old blonde beauty.

The majority of women in Latin American countries are very comfortable showing off their curves in Brazilian style bathing suits.

The Brazilian cut bikini features a low-cut waist, high-cut legs and barely visible back.

By elongating the legs, slimming the thighs and giving the booty a rounded lift, the style is flattering on all sizes.

When surfing, the Olympian prefers a paddle suit to keep everything in place, with a smaller – but tasteful – bottom.

“I always carry a sarong with me wherever I go,” said the athlete who started surfing at the age of eight

The must-have all-in-one accessory

“I always carry a sarong with me wherever I go,” said the athlete who started surfing at the age of eight.

According to Tatiana, the fabric (usually worn as a cover) can be used for many clever things other than what it’s intended for.

“Towels weigh a lot, so I usually dry off with a sarong, and the sarong itself dries quickly.”

If it is hot, the athlete suggests dipping the sarong in cold water and resting it on the neck to keep cool.

“Traditionally, I wear a sarong as a dress tied straight to my chest, or as a skirt.

“Just wrap it around your waist like a towel and then grab the edges and tuck it all the way under itself and it almost creates a belt line; it looks very feminine.’

“A sarong is a really great multi-purpose piece that I never go out without, I even take one to the airport because it can be used as a shawl or a blanket.”

Sun protection is crucial

“I always take a hat to the beach. I like a good baseball cap and a bucket hat,” the surfer shared.

She prefers Melin baseball caps from Southern California.

Melin hats are designed to handle all life’s adventures.

With a water-resistant shell, floating visor and anti-microbial sweatband, they’re ideal for a day on the water and built to last.

‘They are of high quality, you can wash them and wear them for years. I’m also obsessed with bucket hats like the Tati x Body Glove buckets.’

Life is better in slippers

Tatiana’s style is inspired by the relaxed, carefree lifestyle of a surfer.

It combines casual and comfortable clothing and accessories, including slip-on open-toe shoes.

“I love my tennis shoes, but most of the time you see me in flip flops. I really like Havaianas, they are my favorite brand because I grew up with them.’

Beautiful, radiant skin

In the morning I wash my face with a neutral cleanser and then I apply a vitamin C serum to fight free radicals and give my skin more antioxidants to fight the sun.

“Then I moisturize and apply sunscreen.”

Spending hours in the sun, a water resistant SPF is essential for a surfer.

To protect her sensitive skin, Tatiana turns to sunscreen from the all-natural brand All Good.

All Good products are made with herbs grown in an organic farm down the road from their headquarters in Morro Bay, California.

“I found this sunscreen works really well for me because it has no parabens, harsh chemicals or fragrance.

“Having said that, it’s a cream base and not very thick, so you have to reapply every hour, but it’s my favorite for both surfing and everyday life right now.”

At night, she applies an eye serum.

“We squint all day, so I use a serum under moisturizer and sometimes a retinol to help the product penetrate deeper into the pores and renew the surface of my skin.”

Beach babe hair

“I have a very strict regiment. When I don’t surf, I don’t wash my hair for 3-4 days, I think it extends the life of my hair.

“I only use clean/natural shampoos that aren’t filled with parabens, right now I’m using Vegamour.”

Vegamour products contain sustainably harvested, organic botanicals clinically proven to improve hair health.

“I apply a leave-in conditioner right after I get out of the water. I brush it and add oil when my hair feels super dry, especially after a really long burn. Vitamin E oil strengthens the barrier without burning it.’

Research suggests that vitamin E oil can help improve scalp health, repair damaged hair and promote growth.

Healthy skin from within

Surfer style goes beyond fashion – it’s a lifestyle and a reflection of a mindset that revolves around balance and a deep connection to the natural world.

“As a surfer, I take collagen all the time. I have it in my coffee.”

Taking collagen daily restores elasticity and hydration to the skin, strengthens hair, prevents nail damage and promotes bone density.

‘I love Ashwagandha, it’s a stress reliever and it helps with performance. It also helps deliver oxygen to the brain, which improves decision-making for us as athletes.”
