Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood DENIES he’s flipped on Donald after Fulton County DA listed him as a ‘witness for state’ in Georgia election prosecution

Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood has denied attacking Donald after the Fulton County district attorney listed him as a “witness for the state” in the Georgia election prosecution.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis revealed key elements of her trial strategy for the Georgia election subversion case through a court filing released Wednesday.

Wood is now considered a “witness for the state” in the case, along with four individuals who posed as GOP voters who supported Donald Trump.

But the former Atlanta attorney walked back his claim that he would testify against Trump in the Fulton County racketeering case.

“I did not attack President Trump. That is just complete nonsense,” Wood told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I wouldn’t have the knowledge to attack him.”

Wood told the newspaper that he testified for an hour and a half before the special grand jury, but declined to provide additional information.

“I don’t have a copy of my testimony and I don’t want it to remain in my memory,” he said.

Wood denied any cooperation with prosecutors and claimed he had been subpoenaed as a witness in the case against former Trump campaign attorney Sidney Powell.

In a Telegram message, he wrote: “I have no idea why I am being asked to testify at the trial. “I have not had any conversations with the district attorney’s office since testifying before the special grand jury several months ago.”

Willis’ court hearing also noted potential conflicts of interest among six attorneys who had previously represented witnesses or defendants in related proceedings.

Wood has raised the issue of a conflict of interest as a witness because he could face cross-examination by his former attorney and co-counsel, who is now representing former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark in the RICO case research in Georgia.

The lawsuit also confirmed that the four people who posed as GOP voters, Vikki Consiglio, Gloria Godwin, James Carroll and Carolyn Fisher, are now witnesses for the prosecution, even though they have not been charged in the case.

Another prosecution witness is CJ Pearson, who initially supported the pro-Trump slate of voters but later withdrew from the trial.

The filing noted that Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan are also witnesses for the prosecution.

These two Republicans have previously testified against Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

The lawsuit revealed potential conflicts of interest among six attorneys who had previously represented witnesses or defendants involved in the case, most notably Scott Grubman, who previously represented Raffensperger.

This wouldn’t be the first time a former staff member turned against Trump.

Trump’s former IT director at Mar-a-Lago sensationally turned on his old boss in August, admitting he had lied during earlier testimony.

Yuscil Taveras, previously identified as “Trump Employee 4,” has backtracked on his claims in defense of the 45th president after replacing his Trump-funded lawyer.

Taveras, 44, fired Stanley Woodward, who is backed by Trump’s Save America PAC, after learning he was the subject of a perjury investigation in June.

Just this month, Trump’s former aide Molly Michael discovered note cards that Trump had written for her on the backs of classified documents.

The notes included “to-do” lists and other tasks for Michael, who served as Trump’s executive assistant in the White House and then followed him to Mar-a-Lago after he left office.

The former president also reportedly ordered her to deny any knowledge of sensitive files kept at Mar-a-Lago, saying, “You don’t know anything about the boxes.”
