Pro-Palestine demonstrators flood NYC on International Women’s Day, storming the Oculus as troubling video shows protestor surrounded by police knocked unconscious in the street

Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters flooded the streets of New York as part of a rowdy demonstration on International Women’s Day, storming the Oculus near the World Trade Center.

A disturbing video of Friday’s event also shows a protester lying unconscious in the street. The activist is seen lying face down on the ground, surrounded by officers. It is unclear how he was eliminated.

In the background you hear a woman shouting, ‘get him an ambulance, fuck the police, he’s passed out’, as the police try to elicit a response from his limp body.

The footage led to condemnation from former gubernatorial candidate and actress Cynthia Nixon after it was suggested the protester had been neutralized by police.

“This is completely despicable – the NYPD is even more out of control than ever and if they are charged for this, the taxpayers of NYC will have to pay their multi-million dollar fine from money stolen from libraries and schools under the corrupt administration from the Mayor of NYC (Eric Adams)’.

It is not yet known whether any arrests were made during the march.

The chaotic scene was one of many witnessed during the march organized by the Palestinian group Within in Our Lifetime.

There were warnings of disruption to the N, Q, R, W, 4, 5, 6 and L trains by those flocking to the protest, or by the protest itself.

The ‘Global Strike for Gaza’ began in Union Square before spreading downtown, with later video showing protesters storming the Oculus mall.

Footage shows demonstrators holding Palestinian flags in their hands, shouting and cheering, after successfully entering the mall.

Once inside, they formed a drum circle and waved banners that read: “30, 878 dead and Joe eats ice cream,” referring to the president casually slurping on an ice cream cone while being questioned about the recent situation between Israel and Gaza.

The protest announcement came after the group caused chaos in New York City on New Year’s Day this year when they ordered participants to flood JFK’s Terminal 4.

Online flyers for the protest appear to indicate that it is being organized in collaboration with other pro-Palestinian groups Decolonize This Place and Existence is Resistance.

“As the Zionist entity has used lies about sexual violence to legitimize the ongoing genocide in Gaza, while there is no accountability for the real sexual violence that Palestinian women have experienced for decades at the hands of occupying soldiers,” they wrote.

The demonstrators ended their march a few hours after it began in Zuccotti Park.

NYPD Assistant Commissioner Kaz Daughtry showed up to watch the demonstration but was quickly confronted, prompting police to form a protective barrier around him.
