Priyanka Chopra recently revealed that she and husband Nick Jonas have matching tattoos.

speaking to british fashionThe actress, 40, who shares a young daughter with the 30-year-old Jonas Brothers heartthrob, shared the sweet meaning behind her ink.

“I have a check and a box behind my ears,” Priyanka began.

‘My husband is holding them in his arms because when he proposed to me, he asked me to check all his boxes, would I check another one?’

Priyanka didn’t show off her hidden tattoos, but did take a moment to talk about her ‘super considerate’ husband.

‘When he’s around, everything seems fine. He has taught me to approach things from a much calmer place, ”he told the outlet.

Priyanka and Nick became romantically involved in May 2018 and tied the knot just two months later.

In January 2022, the age-gap couple welcomed their first daughter, Malti Marie, via surrogate.

As DailyMail.com exclusively reported at the time, the surrogate gave birth twelve weeks early.

Born at just 27 weeks, baby Malti had to stay in the NICU of a hospital in Southern California for her first 100 days.

In the same British Vogue interview, Priyanka addressed the criticism she and her husband have faced for choosing surrogacy.

“The fact that you don’t want to make my medical history public doesn’t give you the right to make up the reasons,” said the mother of one.

The interpreter continued to reflect on having been accused by some of “outsourcing” her pregnancy, in order to concentrate on her career.

“I had medical complications, so this was a necessary step, and I’m very grateful to be in a position where I could do this,” she explained.

“I have developed a tough skin when people talk about me,” she added. ‘But it’s so painful when they talk about my daughter. I’m like, “Keep her out of this.”

For the next three months, the new parents commuted daily to the neonatal intensive care unit to be with their daughter, a difficult chapter that fell during the first wave of omicron in the US.

“We spent every day with her on my chest, on my husband’s chest,” Priyanka recalled. “I didn’t know if she would make it or not.”

Malti has been happily at home with Priyanka and Nick since last spring, and the actress took a year off work to be with her little girl.

‘It’s been 20 years of hustle and bustle and work at breakneck speed. I’ve always been like, ‘What’s next?’ […] “But now I feel like I have a center, a sense of calm, because every decision ends up being about her,” the star said of her new approach to work and life.

Since she had a “pretty wild ride in the early part of her life,” Nick told Kelly Clarkson earlier this month that they made Malti’s first birthday special.

They hosted a celebration at their Los Angeles home on the weekend of Malti’s birthday on January 15.

She is a. She is beautiful. She’s amazing,” the new dad told the host, adding that her baby is “the best”.

Although they hide their faces, Priyanka and Nick have been sharing sweet family photos with Malti on their respective social media pages.

Most recently, the married couple and their only child enjoyed a day at the beach.

Priyanka enthusiastically shared a series of adorable snaps of the family posing on an oceanfront balcony.

“Sunday,” the Quantico star captioned the snap, which showed her precious baby in her arms as she rested her head on the “Jealous” singer’s shoulder.

Both Nick, who was sporting a red baseball cap and black vest over a matching sweatshirt, and Priyanka smiled for the camera.

A second image showed the former Miss World 2000 holding her baby as they gazed out at the ocean.

For her fun outing, Chopra dressed her daughter in a yellow Dior jacket and a white T-shirt.

Another snapshot showed the family of three just feet from the ocean as a sailboat sailed along the water in the distance.
