Priyanka Chopra, 40, reveals husband Nick Jonas, 30, was her pillar of strength

Priyanka Chopra can’t say enough good things about her 30-year-old husband Nick Jonas.

While talking to the Today digital magazine the 40-year-old said the singer was there for her when their child was ill.

Jonas, whom she married in 2018, gave her strength after their daughter Malti Marie was born prematurely.

“I remember he just held me by the shoulders and I said, ‘Just tell me what to do, because I don’t know what to do,'” said the star who plugs her new show Citadel.

And he said, “Just get in the car with me.” And we drove to the hospital,” adds Priyanka, who also spoke about Nick’s “vulnerability” this week.

“She was born and from the time she first breathed until now, she’s never been without one of us,” the former beauty pageant star shared.

Dear Husband: Speaking to Today digital magazine, she said the singer was there for her when their child was sick. He gave her strength after their daughter Malti Marie was born prematurely

They spent 110 days in the Nicu with Malti.

“I don’t think it was our test. I think it was her test,” Priyanka said.

“I realized very, very early on that I didn’t have the luxury of being scared or weak, because she was scared and weak.

“And I had to be her strength as her mother. I had to make her feel at every moment that she’s not alone…that we have her.”

“(In the NICU) you know your child is alive because you can see his heartbeat (on the monitor). I couldn’t sleep for days, because now she was suddenly home without a monitor.

“I used to put my ear on her chest. I woke up every few minutes to see if she was okay. This went on for weeks.’

The Indian-born star even went into detail about how amazing Jonas can be.

“My husband is the kindest, most generous, gentle, thoughtful man—and also extremely intelligent and patient… He’s my cheerleader,” she began.

So cute: “I remember him just holding me by the shoulders and I said, ‘Just tell me what to do, because I don’t know what to do,'” said the star who plugs her new show Citadel. Seen in 2019

The cover girl also went into detail about how much he helps her: He brings her coffee every morning, takes off her extensions at night, and fixes her dress to carpet.

And she added that he’s the most “safe man” she’s ever been with.

“He gets really excited about my wins. At the end of the night he takes off my extensions,” Priyanka told Hoda Kotb.

“He fixes my dress when I walk off stage and makes it look good when I’m on the carpet. He brings me my coffee first thing in the morning.

“He’s just so even, can handle anything thrown at him.

“And also has the ability to be vulnerable with me… I feel safe with my husband. I wish that for everyone.’

Chopra again explained how she initially didn’t want to date Nick because he is 10 years younger.

“I didn’t give it much of a chance because I was like, ‘He’s 25 years old, he’s a rock star. I want to get married, I want to settle down, I want to have a baby.’

“I was 35 at the time,” said Priyanka.

“I wanted stability, and I didn’t give Nick enough credit until I went out with him on our first date. We spent the whole evening together and I realized that my husband is like an old soul. He is stability in human form.’
