Private investigator reveals how husband was caught cheating after she took one look at his supermarket rewards account
When we think of loyalty cards and rewards apps, we usually think of discounts on food or a free cup of coffee after ten visits.
But for one woman in Australia, her supermarket rewards program proved to be the key to unraveling a heartbreaking secret: her husband’s affair.
The story was shared on TikTok by private investigator Cassie, based in both Queensland and New South Wales, who was hired to help uncover an unlikely trail of betrayal.
In one videoCassie, who goes by @venusinvestigations on the social app, explained how her client expressed her suspicions about her husband’s infidelity, prompting the researcher to come up with an unconventional suggestion.
The couple in question, who lived in Queensland, had been married for several years – until the woman began to notice a disturbing pattern: her husband began regularly traveling to New South Wales to visit his family.
While this seemed harmless at first, the increasing number of outings began to raise red flags as it was something that had not had a place in his normal daily routine.
After the woman expressed her concerns to Cassie, the private investigator decided to investigate the couple’s joint Flybuys rewards account, which can be used at more than 20 retailers across Australia.
She explained in the clip: “It’s something we don’t normally think about, but these reward apps can be a gold mine of information.”

Surprisingly, the research revealed a series of transactions in supermarkets and hardware stores that were recorded in the rewards app.
In an astonishing twist, it revealed that while the trips were ostensibly to New South Wales, the transactions were all done in Queensland – specifically in a suburb that happened to be home to the man’s ex-girlfriend.
Cassie concluded, “Bro gave it up for a few extra reward points. $10 off your store, but a very expensive divorce.”
More than 50 people used the comments to share their thoughts on using the unlikely tool, while others shared their own experiences that led to their partner’s unfaithful behavior being exposed.
One wrote: “The most stealthy cheat app,” while another said: “This is gold.”
Another worried: “I needed you about eight years ago, I wish I knew about this. I wish I knew.’
One person shared their own experience of catching their partner in the act, writing: ‘I discovered my now ex-husband buying condoms and kids stuff at Big W etc when I was looking for a transaction on my everyday savings account… ‘
They added: ‘We don’t have children and didn’t plan to.’

Another wrote: ‘I’m not a PI but my first checkpoint was the bank and where he bought food, petrol and bingo! Ex-girlfriend who then became his girlfriend and now, no surprise, his ex-girlfriend.”
A second revealed: ‘Linkt account caught my ex cheating.’
Another said, “Sometimes when we argue, one of us storms off and waits for the warning for the daily reward.”
However, one user argued: ‘Very low tech… all women track their husbands’ phones these days. I will be accused of cheating if I park on the road in front of the gym instead of in the gym parking lot.”
It comes as a woman has warned her husband may be cheating after revealing his bizarre morning habit.
