I am a private investigator – these are five jobs cheaters are most likely to have and the sneaky places I’ve caught them out

A private investigator has revealed the five professions most likely to be unfaithful after years in the industry.

Aaron Bond, of Bond Rees Investigations, has handled more than 15,000 partner cheating cases in his career.

Based on these studies, he has concluded that those in the medical industry are the most likely to commit infidelity, followed by entrepreneurs and call center workers.

The flight crew and everyone in the legal field are on their heels, with the latter being the ‘most convincing’ as they try to talk their way out of trouble.

Aaron has now spread his findings to help suspicious other halves and shared some of the juiciest stories from his work yet.

1. Medical personnel

Irregular sleep patterns, stressful work environments, and long work hours are the reason so many medical/hospital workers cheat, Aaron says.

He pointed out that it’s not just doctors who tend to cheat, as he has seen all types of workers in the field stray from their spouses.

‘You may think that doctors are the worst offenders because some of them have a God complex which can lead to an increase in self-confidence, but in our experience it can be anyone from a ward doorman to a nurse,’ he said .

‘We worked on a case where a nurse allegedly worked night shifts just because she had taken time off from work and she spent the nights with a colleague in a local hotel, while her partner and children were back home. ‘

2. Entrepreneurs

Aaron says the freedom that comes with entrepreneurship provides the perfect setting for multiple business partners.

The ability to set their own hours and travel frequently leads to temptation and plenty of opportunities to cover up “unscheduled meetings.”

“Entrepreneurs plan their business down to the smallest detail, so it’s only natural that things are on their terms when it comes to relationships as well,” says Aaron.

‘We have investigated many cases where an entrepreneur has had multiple partners in different countries.’

3. Call center agents

Perhaps most surprising is that call center workers rank third on Aaron’s “infidelity list.”

These cases are generally attributed to the long hours of workers working together in close quarters.

“Looking at internal data, the number of spouse cheating cases involving call center agents is alarming,” Aaron said.

‘People who work in call centers and other office environments often work long hours and are in close proximity to their colleagues, so it’s easy to see why relationships can develop.

“Add in shift work and some call center agents may see their colleagues more than their partners.”

4. Flight crew

Those on the flight crew have ample time to cheat and often do so due to long periods away from home and, like call center workers, long hours up close and personal with colleagues.

“Pilots and cabin crew are often well-maintained and good-looking people, they can be far away from home on a daily basis and for some that temptation can be too much,” Aaron said.

‘Being away from home can make some people homesick and may seek comfort elsewhere. Because they are so far from home, the chance that they will be caught is very small.’

5. Legal

Those who work in the legal profession are also more likely to stray.

“Over the years, we have investigated many cases in the legal field involving a suspected cheating spouse,” Aaron said.

‘Lawyers are often seen as successful people with money and can attract a lot of attention from the opposite sex. This temptation can become too great and unfortunately leads to people cheating on their partners.’

“We find that lawyers can be excellent liars and have both been convincing to us and their partners, even when we had rock-solid evidence proving their infidelity.”
