Prison officers can still have an OnlyFans account despite guard being jailed for sex tape with convicted burglar at HMP Wandsworth
Prison staff can still have an OnlyFans account, despite a female guard being jailed for making a sex tape with a convicted burglar in his cell at HMP Wandsworth.
Swinger Linda De Sousa Abreu managed to secure the trusted position despite starring in live videos on the website, in which she was described as a ‘happily married sexy Latina’.
And the 31-year-old’s raunchy alter ego was only revealed when a video of her having sex with one of her prisoners went viral on social media.
It is now clear that just because someone applying for a job within the prison service has an OnlyFans account, he or she will not necessarily be rejected from a potential job.
The subscription site is known for its blue content, but also hosts the work of content creators, including fitness experts and musicians.
The content of the account would be reviewed, and if the nature of the material was explicit, they would be dismissed from the job.
Recruiters did not notice De Sousa Abreu’s account because she set it up under a pseudonym, the prison service has since revealed, and they did not find any concerning content under her name.

The X-rated clip shows De Sousa Abreu dressed in full uniform performing a sex act with Weirich, who has a pregnant girlfriend, in the category A prison
De Sousa Abreu was a prison officer at HMP Wandsworth (pictured) when the explicit images were recorded and later circulated on social media
But since her case, they have now strengthened their controls, making them more robust and struggling to find suspicious information, even if it is published under a pseudonym.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: ‘The content was published under an alias and was not identified as such through our usual vetting checks.
“We have since strengthened our procedures to help us identify and reject candidates who do not meet our high standards.”
De Sousa Abreu – who lived with her partner and their seven-year-old daughter – admitted misconduct in public office and was jailed for 15 months on Monday.
New details of the case emerged yesterday morning after Judge Martin Edmunds QC’s sentencing remarks were released in full.
Venezuelan-born De Sousa Abreu was seen by Dr Iain Kooyman, a forensic psychiatrist who prepared a report for the sentencing – and it revealed new details of her thinking.
Dr. Kooyman revealed that she told him she “loved” Weirich, who herself had a heavily pregnant girlfriend at the time.
The psychiatrist, who discovered she suffered from severe borderline personality disorder and ADHD, said she told him she had never felt more safe than when she was with Weirich.
Recruiters did not spot De Sousa Abreu’s account (pictured in mugshot) because she set it up under a pseudonym, the prison service has since revealed, and they did not find any content of concern under her name.
De Sousa Abreu (pictured), who was in prison for having sex with convicted burglar Linton Weirich, planned to continue their relationship after his release – because he made her feel ‘like a gangster’
And she planned for their relationship to continue outside after his release.
Weirich is serving a four-and-a-half-year prison sentence for stealing £65,000 worth of valuables from a safe in a flat in Kensington.
It was the second time she had had sex with him and earlier that same day she had a secret rendezvous during which she performed oral sex on him.
The X-rated clip – filmed by another inmate – was leaked online and shared widely on social media.
Mr Edmunds KC said Dr Kooyman De Sousa had diagnosed Abreu with severe borderline personality disorder which, combined with ADHD, made her ‘very impulsive’ and reckless and caused her to act ‘without regard to the consequences’, but he concluded that she was responsible for her behavior. actions.
He added that since the graphic recording went viral, female prison officers at HMP Wandsworth had been subjected to abuse and harassment by prisoners who now see them as ‘fair game’.
Mr Edmunds KC told Isleworth Crown Court: ‘The consequence of the recording going viral, an outcome that you did not intend but which was certainly a consequence of your offending, is that prison staff have suffered harassment and intimidation.
‘They have been confronted with sexualized images that wrongly give the impression that your behavior is typical.
Weirich, the prisoner in the video, was sentenced to four and a half years in prison at Kingston Crown Court last June for burglary after stealing £65,000 worth of valuables from a safe in a flat in Kensington

‘Children of your fellow female prison guards are teased about what their mothers do at work.
‘It is inevitable that the damage for which you were responsible at Wandsworth has spread to some extent throughout the prison.
‘It will impact on the reputation of the prison service and therefore its prospects for recruiting and retaining staff.
‘It causes fear among those close to vulnerable prisoners, who are more concerned about the environment in which prisoners are held.
“That recording still exists and will undoubtedly circulate indefinitely.”
De Sousa Abreu was filmed performing a sexual act with Weirich before having full intercourse with him on June 25, 2024.
Dressed in full prison uniform, she first threw away her radio – which crackled with inaudible messages from colleagues throughout the four-and-a-half minute clip – before being recorded by a cannabis-smoking friend of Weirich.
When she realized the clip had become public, De Sousa Abreu attempted to flee to Spain and traveled to Heathrow Airport with her father.
She called a night officer at HMP Wandsworth and said: ‘I’m not coming back to work, I’m never going back to Wandsworth. I’m at the airport. I have a family emergency.”
She said her husband would return her belongings but was stopped by police at a departure gate in Heathrow’s Terminal Five before she could board a flight to Madrid.
