Carole Middleton has revealed how her family likes to spend Halloween with plenty of healthy activities, like decorating homegrown pumpkins.

The 67-year-old mother of the Princess of Wales, who lives in Berkshire with her husband Michael, has revealed some of her favorite traditions for celebrating the October break in an Instagram post promoting her chunky Fall Party Pieces collection.

Halloween is a fall highlight for me. I still remember the fun and fears of my own childhood; the chance to dress up, decorate pumpkins and do trick-or-treating,” the mother of three said on the company’s social media page.

She added: “I’ve even grown my own pumpkins this year, so I’m looking forward to decorating them with my loved ones.”

Her comments provide a glimpse of the potential entertainment that her grandchildren, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, have in store.

This isn’t the first time Carole has shared some of her family’s holiday traditions; in April, she revealed how her family likes to celebrate Easter by decorating a tree and searching for eggs.

“I’d like my family to help me decorate a beautiful wire tree with colorful eggs,” explains the Party Pieces founder, adding that she also likes to organize a “competitive” search for aster eggs.

Other tips for the perfect family Easter included board games like pinning the tail on the bunny, crafting Easter cards together, and flower arrangements for jam jars.

To make a flower arrangement, she suggested getting some glass jars to put flowers and greenery in from the garden, then decorating them with a ribbon.

“The table is such an important Easter decor, so have fun with it and add playful touches to make people smile like fluffy bunnies hidden in foliage or flowers in the center of the table.”

She also mentioned a family tradition of Easter egg hunts, saying it’s not just for kids.

“We want to get the whole family involved and it’s going to be pretty competitive,” she said.

Earlier this week, Richard Eden revealed to The Daily Mail that Michael and Carole Middleton made enough money from their party favors to send three children to boarding school and buy a country house for £4.7 million.

Yet their mail order company, Party Pieces, made a loss of nearly £300,000 last year.

Newly published figures reveal that Party Pieces Holdings posted a loss of £285,506 in 2021, leaving a net deficit on its balance sheet at £1.35 million.

The Middletons own just over half of the company, with lingerie mogul Steven Brentwood and Darryl Eales as shareholders.

A company statement at the end of the accounts reports: ‘During the year, the company has seen an impressive 18 per cent increase in retail sales, despite a challenging time for UK retailers.

“The after-tax loss represents continued investment in the company’s growth plans, including the launch of a wholesale division and the opening of new territories in the US, Europe and the Middle East.”
