Princess Sofia of Sweden is glowing in first appearance since announcing her pregnancy as she steps out with Prince Carl Philip in Varmland
Princess Sofia of Sweden and her husband, Prince Carl Philip, have made their first appearance since the palace announced her pregnancy.
The expectant mother of four, 39, beamed as she visited a Volvo location in VĂ€rmland with her husband this morning, just two days after the Swedish royal family announced the exciting news.
When they arrived at the venue, Sofia was wearing black wide-leg pants, a white ribbed sweater and a pashmina around her shoulders, her baby bump barely visible under her outfit.
The couple, who married in 2015, already have three sons: Prince Alexander, seven, Prince Gabriel, five, and two-year-old Prince Julian.
Carl Philip, 45, is the only son and second child of Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. His elder sister Princess Victoria, 47, is the heir to the Swedish throne and is currently fourth in line to the throne.

‘Princess Sofia is doing well and the birth is expected in February 2025. No changes are expected to Princess Sofia’s official program for the fall.’
The statement was shared alongside a sweet photo of the couple, with Carl Philip smiling at the camera while his wife leaned her head against his face. The backdrop featured a beautiful lake and several mountains.

Princess Sofia arrived at the lavish event dressed in a flowing, ombre yellow dress, in the arms of her husband, Prince Carl Phillip.
Sofia exuded elegance in the long silk dress with a narrow waist and long sleeves by Swedish fashion designer Lilli Jahilo.
The dress’s bright, warm color and long sleeves were a fitting choice for the cold summer day in the Norwegian town of Geiranger, where temperatures averaged just 14 degrees Celsius.
Sofia was seen toting a fluffy white sweater under her arm during the wedding ceremony, just in case she needed some extra warmth.
She teamed the bright dress with a pair of nude platform pumps by Gianvito Rossi and a pale gold Susan Szatmary Port Doré clutch.
Prince Carl Philip’s 39-year-old wife (pictured with her family) is “doing well” and the baby is due in February 2025, according to the palace statement, shared on the royal family’s Instagram account this afternoon.

From her long, half-up brown locks protruded $24,000 worth of earrings by Copenhagen jeweler Ole Lynggaard.
Sofia added an extra touch of sparkle to her stylish outfit with a âŹ5,700 Bigli Jewels ring on her left middle finger.
This isnât the first time the Swedish princess has worn the Lilli Jahilo dress. Sofia is no stranger to repeating outfits, having previously worn the ombre outfit in December 2022 for the Nobel Prize Winnersâ Dinner at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
Princess Sofia was one of 350 guests at the wedding of Norwegian Princess MĂ€rtha Louise, 52, to 49-year-old Durek Verrett, who claims to be a sixth-generation shaman from California.
MĂ€rtha Louise and Princess Sofia have been good friends for years thanks to the close relationship between the Swedish and Norwegian royal families.
The newlyweds got married in picturesque Geiranger, one of Norway’s biggest tourist attractions, situated on a fjord with stunning views.
The guests left the wedding tent shortly after 3pm local time and walked along a red carpet to the nearest hotel reception.
