In a newly released palace portrait, the princess wowed in a dramatic sequined gown with sheer embroidered sleeves and a cinched waist.
She wore her hair in loose waves and kept her makeup fresh with a glossy nude lip, letting the daring dress take center stage.
In the background, the Christmas tree was lit with fairy lights, covered with gold and red bows and decorations.
The service will recognize the selfless efforts of communities across the UK, highlighting the importance of coming together to support one another.
It makes a great comparison to the divisive message many Brits took away from Sussex’s Netflix special, which premiered this week.

It was a family affair for the Princess, too, with her parents Carole and Michael Middleton in attendance, as well as her siblings James and Pippa.
Kate’s latest look marks the second time in just a week that she’s stepped out in a stunning red gown.
For the annual Diplomatic Corps reception on December 6, the Princess of Wales wore a scarlet, gem-studded Jenny Packham gown and lotus flower tiara alongside her husband King Charles, 74, and the Queen Consort.

She showed off Queen’s Diamond Frame earrings, which she paired with Queen Elizabeth II’s Royal Family Order and her blue Royal Victorian Order sash.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly yet to watch the Sussexes’ Netflix documentary, instead focusing on parental duties and sticking to “business as usual”.
A source said earlier this week that the royals are reluctant to engage in a tit-for-tat battle over the series.
In the first half of the series, which launched this week, Meghan reminisced about her first meeting with Prince William and Princess Kate.
The Duchess of Sussex, 41, said she was unaware that ‘formality’ takes place behind closed doors and that she is a ‘clamp’, which she did not realize was ‘jarring to some Britons’ .
She admitted that she was “shocked” that there is a “way to be looking forward and then you close the door.”
“I started to understand that the formality on the outside is reflected on the inside, that there is a way of being that looks forward and then you close the door and think ‘Okay, we can relax now.'” But that formality is maintained on both sides and that surprised me.’
