Princess of Wales visits Anna Freud’s home in London

The Princess of Wales was effortlessly elegant as she visited the Anna Freud Center in London today to mark Mental Health Week.

Kate Middleton, 41, was beaming as she arrived this morning at Anna Freud’s base in London, where she will take part in a series of roundtables on the mental health challenges facing young people today.

Kate will then meet a group of high school students who have participated in interactive activities exploring how they cope with their own anxious feelings.

The royal mother-of-three wore a £3,000 emerald midi dress by Suzannah London for the occasion, which she paired with her Alessandra Rich white heels.

Today’s visit to the charity, of which Kate is a patron, marked her second Mental Health Week engagement this week.

For the occasion, she dabbed some blush on her cheeks and a dab of eyeliner on her eyelids.

Meanwhile, she kept her jewelry to a minimum.

Her choice to wear the Suzannah Flippy Wiggle dress in an emerald hue comes days after she wore the same dress in a white version.

The label, founded by Suzannah Crabb, has become something of a secret weapon for the royal wardrobe.

At Wimbledon in 2019, she looked stunning in her button-up white crêpe Flippy Wiggle dress.

In 2014, she wore a green and white Suzannah tea dress for Prince George’s first birthday portraits.

On today’s visit to Anna Freud, Kate will talk to young people about anxiety, based on Let’s Talk About Anxiety, a new animation and toolkit for teachers co-created by the students themselves.

The students will also learn how fear sometimes plays a role in everyone’s life.

They learn about and practice healthy coping skills and participate in activities to identify practical strategies that can help them when they feel anxious.

Anna Freud brings together research, clinical expertise and training to build the mental well-being of future generations.

Building on 70 years of experience, they put research into practice to help more children and young people get the help they need, when they need it.

At Anna Freud, neuroscientists and practitioners in mental health, social care and education work with children and youth to transform the mental health of children, youth and their families.

It comes after the princess earlier this week joined a team of apprentices backed by Dame Kelly Holmes’ trust at the Bath base, with the former sports star on the opposing team.

Looking effortlessly elegant, the mum-of-three wore a £359 bright yellow blazer from LK Bennett, which she paired with a white t-shirt and matching trousers and £120 Veja sneakers.

Also present at the visit was Love Island star Zara McDermott, one of the Shaping Us campaign champions – Kate’s initiative to promote the importance of early childhood development.

Kate’s engagement today comes after a busy few weeks for the princess, in what appears to be a new era for the royal mother of three.

She has released a number of behind-the-scenes videos on social media during the king’s coronation, showing her family preparing for the historic events.

The video, released on Wales’ official YouTube account, shows William and Kate meeting crowds of royal fans on the Mall outside Buckingham Palace on the night before the coronation.

It then shows William and Kate getting ready at Kensington Palace the next morning, along with Charlotte and Louis.

The royal couple can be seen in their stunning Royal Victorian Order Mantles, while Kate stunned in her white Alexander McQueen gown.

The family then leaves the palace to travel in a golden carriage to Westminster Abbey, along with thousands of armed forces and members of the Buckingham Palace household.

William, Kate and their children then stand on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with other members of the royal family after the coronation ceremony.

The royal family and the tens of thousands of people gathered outside the palace were then treated to a flyover by the Red Arrows despite the bad weather.

The following day, the family can be seen in the film committing to the Big Help Out – a volunteer event held across the country to celebrate the King’s years of public service.

Prince Louis helps out with an excavator while his brother George takes up archery before the family joins in for a group photo with the other volunteers.

The video ends with clips shot at the coronation concert at Windsor Castle starring Katy Perry, Lionel Ritchie and Take That and where William gave a speech in honor of the King.

He said to his father, “We are all so proud of you.”

Hours later, the princess spectacularly opened the final of the Eurovision Song Contest with a moving piano tribute to Ukraine.

Kate played the piano alongside last year’s Ukrainian winners, the Kalush Orchestra, in a stunning opening sequence for the grand finale, which was screened in front of an estimated global audience of 160 million.
