Princess Marie of Denmark rocked in a bright pink ensemble as she stepped out in Paris with her family this morning.
The princess, 47, was a flash of color among her husband and children who opted for more muted tones to attend her son Count Henrik’s confirmation in the Danish church.
Marie accessorized her gorgeous bold outfit with a navy blue clutch and navy blue pumps and wore a leaf brooch on her blouse. printed dress.
The event was also attended by Joachim’s brother, Crown Prince Frederik, and his wife, Crown Princess Mary.
Last September, the Danish monarch announced that her grandchildren Nikolai, 23, Felix, 20, Henrik, 13, and Athena, 10, will no longer hold the title of “His/Her Highness” from January 2023.

At the time, the monarch stressed that the move “will be good for them in their future” and will allow the children – who have retained their position in the line of succession – to “shape their own lives without being constrained by the special considerations and duties’ that entails a formal connection to the Danish royal family.
However, Prince Joachim publicly spoke out against his mother’s decision in the days that followed – claiming his children had been ‘harmed’ in the process.
Following peace talks within the family, as well as an unprecedented public statement from the Danish palace explaining Queen Margrethe’s decision to apologize for all the hurt that had been caused, the family rift seemed to have healed.
In April this year, both Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim gathered to celebrate the Queen’s 83rd birthday, with all members of the family invited to the balcony of Copenhagen’s Amalienborg Palace.

Although the family seems to be united again, it was announced earlier this year that Prince Joachim and Princess Marie will move their family to Washington DC in the US this fall.
Joachim, sixth in line to the Danish throne, is making the move so that he can take a job as an attaché for the defense industry at the Embassy of Denmark.
His family’s move to the US has parallels with when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in Britain in 2020 to start their new lives in North America.
Joachim announced the move in March, saying: ‘I am proud to still have the opportunity to represent Denmark internationally in the field of security and defence. Transatlantic cooperation is a high priority area and I am honored that they have deemed me qualified for the task.”
