The princesses, aged 17 and 15, beamed as they posed for the photo against a colorful backdrop of a tree with leaves that have turned orange and red in the colder months.
Infanta Sofía, dressed in a blue and white striped Zara jumper, hugged her older sister as the girls smiled for the photo as their thick blonde locks cascaded over their shoulders.

This week’s trip to the City of Angels marks Letizia’s second visit to the United States this year, as she flew to New York on September 19 just after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral to attend the UN.
The mother-of-two stood out from the crown in her flawless crimson number, which saw her pair the red pants with a matching blazer and shirt.
The Spanish Royal Family Christmas card was signed by all family members, including Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía.
While it’s hotter in Los Angeles than in most other cities, the Spanish royals bundled up in a red coat that they wore more over their shoulders like a cape. The suit belongs to Torretta’s Fall 2017-2018 collection and has been a staple in Letizia’s wardrobe since the first time she wore it.
The royal reasserted her title as the Queen of Style by keeping the rest of the look simple to let her color-block outfit speak for itself.
She wore the suit with a matching pair of velvet stilettos and a leather clutch, also in red.
She donned little jewelry, plus a discreet pair of earrings made from three small gold hoops and her beloved Karen Hallam circle ring, which she wears regularly.
For their visit to the US, the Spanish royals donned an elegant bob hairstyle with their silky locks as lustrous as ever.
Letizia also wore her trusted day makeup for the occasion, with her regulation smoky eyes and sculpted brows, and just a hint of bronzer to add a sunkissed hint to her radiant skin.
As her daughters grow into young women, Queen Letizia’s style no doubt inspires Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, who are often seen in streetwear like their mother, who often prefers Spanish street shops like Zara and Mango.
