Princess Eugenie shares adorable family portrait as she marks her and Jack Brooksbank’s fifth anniversary with a slick wedding video

Princess Eugenie has shared a beautiful new family portrait to mark her fifth wedding anniversary with Jack Brooksbank.

The late Queen Elizabeth IItook her granddaughter to her Instagram account today to share a smooth wedding video to celebrate the special occasion.

In the previously unseen clip, Eugenie, 33, showcased touching moments from her big day, which took place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor on October 12, 2018, as well as a more recent candid family portrait.

The sweet photo – the first public image of the family of four together – showed Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter posing with her husband and their two children, two-year-old son August and four-month-old son Ernest, on a beach.

Eugenie and Jack were all smiles in the photo, where August beautifully held up his hands full of pebbles while baby Ernest was wrapped in a towel and carried by his lovely mother.

For her wedding day, Eugenie looked stunning in a long-sleeve off-the-shoulder gown with a voluminous train designed by London duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.

The fabric included several embroidered symbols with meaning to Eugenie, such as a thistle to acknowledge her family’s Scottish ancestry, a shamrock for Ireland as a reflection of her maternal family, and the York Rose.

Her gown had a low back to show off her scar from the surgery she had at the age of 12 to correct her scoliosis – curvature of the spine.

Princess Eugenie worked to raise awareness of the condition.

The bride’s bouquet, created by Patrice Van Helden Oakes, consisted of Lilies of the Valley, Stephanotis pistils, baby blue thistles, white spray roses and trailing ivy.

Eugenie wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, inherited by the late Queen Mother in 1942, made of brilliant and rose-cut diamonds set in platinum, flanked by six emeralds.

She also wore matching diamond and emerald earrings, which were a wedding gift from her husband.

Accompanied by her father, Prince Andrew, Eugenie arrived at the chapel in a 1977 Rolls Royce Phantom VI, the same car Kate drove to her wedding.

The princess’ bridal party included her older sister Beatrice as her maid of honor, along with Princess Charlotte, Savannah Philips, Isla Phillips and Mia Tindall as flower girls among others with Prince George as a pageboy.

Eugenie styled her party in navy blue and ivory, with each flower girl and page boy wearing a sash with a green floral print.

Among the couple’s 800 guests who attended were Sarah Ferguson, the mother of the bride, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, as well as several of the couple’s famous friends.

Surrounded by their loved ones, the couple recited traditional vows, although Eugenie particularly chose to cut out the part about obeying her husband – in common with Diana, Kate and Meghan who were also made at their weddings.

During the exchange of rings, Jack placed a Welsh gold wedding ring on his bride’s finger – a gift from the Queen – in the metal that has been used for royal wedding rings since the Queen Mother’s wedding in 1923.

The groom opted against a wedding band, following in the footsteps of Prince William.

The bride couldn’t stop smiling at her groom during their hour-long service in the spectacular setting at Windsor Castle, but Jack looked overcome with emotion throughout.

Prince Andrew hosted a black-tie reception at Royal Lodge that evening where guests were treated to a gourmet pizza truck and margaritas.

The couple traveled to the reception in a rare DB10 Aston Martin – one of eight made for the 2015 film Specter starring Daniel Craig.

While Eugenie looked stunning in her ceremony dress, she opted for a second champagne colored silk dress for the evening. Designed by Zac Posen, the dress featured a sweeping hood, long sleeves and pleated material.

The New York designer said he was inspired by the White Rose of York and even embroidered one on both the shoulder and back of the dress to hold the cape detail together.

Eugenie paired the gown with Queen Victoria’s corn ear brooches – also lent to her by the Queen – part of the trio originally commissioned by William IV in 1830 for Queen Adelaide.

The centerpiece of the reception was the five-tiered wedding cake made by London baker Sophie Cabot, which required around 400 eggs, at least 53 packs of unsalted butter, 15 kilograms of organic self-rising flour and 20 kilos of sugar. to make.

During a series of speeches, the Duke of York broke with royal tradition to give his new son-in-law a hug in front of the Queen.

Jack’s speech was ‘filled with devotion to Eugenie’ and he told his new wife that she ‘lightens up his life and makes him feel complete’.

The wedding itself and the two parties were privately paid for by the bride’s family, along with the flowers, entertainment and clothing. However, the security on the day is estimated to have cost taxpayers £2m.
