It was during his college years that Liuzzo first came into serious trouble with the law.

In 2002, Liuzzo was convicted in connection with a fight that left a fellow student, 19-year-old Jonathan R. Duchatellier, dead.

Reports about the May 6 fight alleged that the men involved, including Duchatellier and Liuzzo, had been drinking alcohol the night of the off-campus brawl.

Liuzzo’s death certificate revealed that he had worked as a consultant in the art industry and had never married.
