Princess Anne is ‘recovering slowly’ in hospital after a ‘horse hit her on the head’ and left her concussed, her husband Sir Tim Laurence reveals

Princess Anne is ‘recovering slowly’, her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence announced as he left hospital in Bristol this afternoon.

Sir Tim spent two and a half hours at Southmead Hospital with his wife this afternoon before leaving at around 2pm.

When asked if the princess would be ready to leave the hospital tomorrow, he told reporters “she will be gone when she is ready.”

The Princess Royal, 73, suffered minor head injuries while walking on her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire on Saturday and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with “minor head injuries”.

Due to the injuries she suffered, the royal reportedly cannot remember exactly what happened, but it is believed she was hit on the head by a horse.

Her faithful husband has visited the princess every day since the accident and accompanied her when she was taken to hospital at night.
