Prince William will not speak about Harry’s accusations against him in his incendiary memoir, the sources said.

Harry accused his older brother of physically attacking him at Nottingham Cottage in 2019 and “pouncing on him” after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in 2021.

The allegations are published in the Duke of Sussex’s memoir Spare, due for publication on January 10, following his teaser interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby on Sunday night.

But sources close to Harry and William said the Prince of Wales “will not retaliate” and “will remain silent” for the good of his family and country.

A friend of the brothers said sunday times: ‘He will not retaliate. He would never do it because he is dignified and incredibly loyal.

“William is easy prey because Harry knows he won’t retaliate. It’s cruel, cowardly and very sad that William continues to take beatings.

He is keeping quiet for the good of his family and the country.

In the attack, the Prince of Wales allegedly grabbed him by the collar, snapped his collar and knocked him to the ground, where he landed in his dog’s bowl, which broke under his back.

And in his interview with ITV to supplement his memoir, the duke accused William and Kate of “stereotyping” against his wife Meghan, preventing them from “welcoming” her into the family.

Asked by Bradby what she meant, she said: “Well, American actress, divorced, biracial, there are different parts of that and what that can mean, but if you are, as much of my family does, if you are reading the press, the British tabloids, [Yeah] at the same time you’re living life, then there’s a trend where you might end up living in the tabloid bubble instead of living in real reality.’

Meghan was previously married to American television producer Trevor Engelson for three years, from 2011 to 2014.

Before meeting Harry, Meghan starred in the US drama series Suits, in which she played paralegal-turned-lawyer Rachel Zane.

Harry has said that there can be reconciliation with the rest of his family, as long as they take “responsibility”.

Speaking about what he wants from his family and his book, Harry told Tom Bradby: “I want reconciliation, but there has to be some responsibility first.”

“You can’t keep telling me I’m delusional and paranoid when all the evidence is piling up, because I was really terrified of what was going to happen to me.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales are yet to fulfill an engagement in the north of England this week, while King Charles will visit Scotland, it has been reported.
