Prince William and Princess Kate are ‘laser focused’ and ‘know what they want from royal life’, a source close to the couple claims.
As they celebrate their first year as Prince and Princess of Wales, the couple have discovered what they want from the role and have charted a clear path to being the future of the monarchy, say those around them.
The royal couple have made sure their presence is visible in Wales, supporting the King in his duties, with William keen to continue ‘the great work that his father did’ for the Duchy of Cornwall.
Speaking to the TelegraphAccording to a source close to the royal family, the two “know what they want” when it comes to their working lives, adding that they “edit their own speeches and bombard assistants with questions about every assignment.”
William and Kate, together with their children Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and five-year-old Prince Louis, want to become ‘the future of the monarchy’, the source said.

“There is a lot for him to think about, and although he and his father have worked closely together, there will have been a lot of ‘listening and discussion’ about his future path,” the source said.
“He has an unwavering commitment to duty and service. “He takes the role very seriously and is incredibly focused on hard work, but also on supporting his father as king,” she added.
It comes as an exclusive MailOnline survey found Prince William is one of the most popular members of the royal family – with his support from the public increasing.
A significant 41 percent of Britons now say it should have been the Prince of Wales who took over as king a year ago, rather than Charles, a sharp increase from the 35 percent who held this view six months ago.
Only 43 percent remain with Charles, meaning his lead over demand has fallen from 15 percentage points to just two.
Meanwhile, almost two-thirds of the public want Charles and Camilla to hand over power and responsibility to William and Catherine.
As the King’s 75th birthday approaches this fall, it is inevitable that some will begin to look to a future beyond Charles – a future with King William and Queen Catherine at the helm.
Their evolving profile is no coincidence. The Welsh have employed a skillful media strategy, for example using an in-house videographer to broadcast web-friendly clips as they tour the country.

In fact, the smile captured by the camera is genuine.
Once seen as a timid and angry young man, William has grown into a warm and approachable figure, whether that means making self-deprecating jokes with teenagers or accepting punches from Gazza with good grace.
The affection between father and son as William paid tribute was one of the most moving moments of the coronation.
Meanwhile, royal author Phil Dampier recently told MailOnline that Kate Middleton had come up with a perfect “balancing act” that saw her shine just enough not to “overshadow Charles and Camilla.”
‘Young people may not be crazy about the royals, but as they get older they sometimes change their minds and Kate will have a huge influence, not just as a mother, but as a woman, fashion and social influencer in the Tik era . Tok.
“We’ll be seeing a lot more of them and there’s a lot on their shoulders now that Harry and Meghan have left.”

An aide recently said William will position himself as a “global statesman” during his upcoming trip to the US.
The royal, 41, is traveling to the US to showcase the Earthshot Prize, its environmental award for planet-saving solutions and initiatives.
But an aide says a recent poll that rated him more favorably than Joe Bidena and Volodymyr Zelensky won’t distract him from his job.
The Gallup survey involved fifteen pre-selected names of ‘public figures in the news’ and the Americans were asked whether they thought positively about them or not.
The aide said, “Of course he is aware of the poll.
Next Monday, William will be highlighting the Earthshot Prize, his environmental award for planet-saving solutions and initiatives
“He’s not distracted by polls; his focus is always on getting on with his job and concentrating on his job.”
The aide added to the Sunday Times: ‘This trip is part of his evolution as a global statesman, which is incredibly important, especially since he became Prince of Wales.
‘He and his courtiers have been considering how to handle the transition from Duke of Cambridge to the next king. You’ve seen some iterations of that, whether that’s meeting with Joe Biden in Boston or traveling to the border with Ukraine and talking about the importance of fighting for our freedoms.
‘The US is very important to him. The world’s climate movers and shakers will be in New York to have conversations about the future of the planet and the Prince is keen to be part of those conversations and put Earthshot at the forefront.
“He has huge ambitions for what the prize can become and is extremely focused on its legacy and impact.”
