Prince Pavlos of Greece shares sweet message to Marie-Chantal on their 29th wedding anniversary saying ‘I still feel exactly as I did the day we got married’ – as he attends Wimbledon with daughter Princess Olympia

Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece has sent a sweet message to his wife Princess Marie-Chantal in honor of their 29th wedding anniversary this week.

The couple married in 1995 in a spectacular ceremony, the largest gathering of royals in London since Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip married in 1946.

After 29 years, their marriage has only grown stronger and they have had five children together.

On Monday, Pavlos, 57, and Marie-Chantal, 55, shared heartwarming messages to each other on social media, proving their bond is still enviable.

The Crown Prince wrote the following on Instagram: ‘Today we celebrate 29 years of happy marriage – thank you for our beautiful children and our life.

“I still feel exactly the same as the day we got married.”

He shared a loving photo of the couple sitting together on a staircase to mark the special occasion.

Marie shared the same photo and wrote: ‘Congratulations on your wedding day, my one and only!’

However, the reports are likely to have come from far away, as Pavlos played tennis with his daughter Princess Olympia at Wimbledon on Monday, the day of their wedding anniversary.

Businesswoman Marie, who is worth £2 billion in her own right, could, according to Hello! Magazine.

Pavlos and Olympia enjoyed a wonderful father-daughter time at the All England Club, attending a dinner at Ralph Lauren and witnessing Greece’s Maria Sakkari win the women’s singles.

“Opening day at Wimbledon. Thank you @olympiagreece for bringing your daddy,” he wrote on his Instagram story.

Princess Olympia herself looked radiant in a blue strappy dress decorated with small white flowers and a matching white sweater over her shoulders.

Chic Olympia, who studied Fashion Business and Marketing at New York University, was also pictured alongside Cara Delevingne’s sister Poppy.

Poppy, who recently publicly met her new boyfriend, Sienna Miller’s ex Archie Keswick, at BST Hyde Park, befriended the former Greek royal during her relationship with Constantine Alexios,

Poppy split from her ‘toyboy’, Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece and Denmark, 25, in December last year. The Greek royal, affectionately known as Tino, is Prince William’s godson.

But her relationship with the royals clearly hasn’t changed, as she was pictured chatting to Olympia and cheering on the players.

Crown Prince Pavlos is the eldest son of Constantine II, the former King of Greece, who died early last year, and he is also the godson of King Charles.

Although Pavlos is crown prince, he will never ascend the throne, as the monarchy was deposed and dissolved in 1973.

Meanwhile, even without her royal connections, Marie is worth an incredible £2billion – her father is Duty Free king Robert Miller, who made his money by setting up a lucrative hedge fund.

In 1993 she began studying art history at New York University. It was in this city that she first met Prince Pavlos.

The couple met on a blind date arranged by New York investment banker Alecko Papamarkou, a mutual friend who was convinced they would hit it off.

“We clicked,” the princess told Vanity Fair in 2008. “It was love at first sight. I knew he was the person I was going to marry.”

Their wedding was the largest gathering of royals in London since Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip married in 1946. They married in 1995 at St Sophia’s Cathedral in London.

Among those in attendance were the royal families of Britain, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Romania, Jordan and Bulgaria.

The couple moved to Manhattan, where they founded Olympia, before moving to London in 2002 so their children could pursue a European education.

The couple now have five children: daughter Olympia, 27, and four sons: Constantine, Achileas, Odysseas and Aristidis.

The family lives all over the world. Olympia lives in Notting Hill, Pavlos and Marie-Chantal spend most of their time in New York, Aristidis also lives in the US and Constantine often flies between America and the UK.

Today the family is recognized as ‘of Glucksburg’, because of their Spanish and German ancestry, rather than their Greek origins.

In response to their anniversary message, royal fans wrote: ‘Happy anniversary!’

‘Beautiful photo. Your family and you are becoming more and more loved. Be always healthy and loved. We as Greeks are very proud of your family.’
