Prince of Wales and his three adoring children are pictured to mark Father’s Day

Relaxed, smiling and very clearly colour-coordinated, the Prince of Wales and his three adoring children make a cheerful picture for Father’s Day.

In this photo, released to mark the occasion, Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, eight, stare up at their father, while Prince Louis, five, beams straight into the camera as he wraps his arms around dad in a giant bear hug.

The image also features a subtle but poignant tribute to the children’s great-grandmother, as they pose on a bench installed in Windsor to commemorate the late Queen’s 90th birthday on April 19, 2016.

The photo was taken earlier this year by photographer and family friend Millie Pilkington at the Windsor Estate – possibly at the same time as Louis’s fifth birthday in April in a wheelbarrow.

No doubt he’s wearing the same outfit: a £75 Fair Isle jumper from Lallie London over a white and blue checked collared shirt.

Last year, the photo captured a joyful moment during a family vacation in Jordan. All three kids roared with laughter at a joke that, given William's blush, might have been at their father's expense

George mirrors Dad in shirt and jeans while Charlotte wears a pretty yet simple daisy print dress by Rachel Riley London, one of Mom Kate’s favorite childhood designers.

There was already a wait of up to eight weeks to get your hands on the £59 button-front puff sleeve dress even before this image was released late last night.

The Princess of Wales may not be in the picture – it’s Father’s Day, after all – but as an amateur photographer, she has an eye for a good shot and had the final say on which photo would be released.

A similar photo was released last year. Then the photo captured a joyful moment during a family vacation in Jordan.

All three children roared with laughter at a joke that, given William’s blush, might have been at their father’s expense.

Each photo is testament to the carefree childhood William is so determined to give his sons and daughter. But he has also pledged to “expose” them to homelessness in the same way his mother, the late Princess of Wales, did before him.

Prince Louis stole the show when he delivered a cheeky salute to the adoring crowd cheering for his grandfather King Charles's official birthday on June 17.

In an interview with The Sunday Times ahead of the launch of a campaign to ‘end homelessness’ in Britain, Prince William said he wanted to do this ‘so that they [will] grow up knowing that… some of us are very lucky, some of us need a little help, some of us need to do more where we can to help others improve their lives.”

Last year, not long before his 40th birthday, William released a really happy photo taken during a family vacation in Jordan.

It showed William sitting between Prince George, eight, and Princess Charlotte, now seven, with his youngest, Prince Louis, now four, on his shoulders. He beams contentedly when his children burst into laughter.

This image differed from other official photos at the time in that it was not taken by Princess Kate, an avid amateur photographer. Instead, Kensington Palace said the stunning portrait was taken by a private photographer, unnamed, during an outing the previous autumn.

A similar image of the Cambridges, apparently taken on the same day and showing Kate in a khaki green dress and William in an olive shirt and beige shorts, was used for the family’s most recent Christmas card.

However, this portrait offered a more casual, relaxed view of family life. While the exact location has not been revealed, the picturesque sandstone backdrop suggests the photo may have been taken in Petra, the ancient archaeological site in Jordan’s southwestern desert.

The Cambridges have a personal connection with Jordan, as Kate lived there for three years when her father, Michael, transferred to the capital Amman in May 1984 for his British Airways job when she was two and her sister, Pippa, was eight months old . old.

And at the same time last year, Charles shared poignant photos, including one of himself in happier times with sons William and Harry, to mark Father’s Day.

He shared Clarence House’s Instagram page with the caption “Happy Father’s Day to all!” – with a picture of his sons as the last image in the gallery.

The photo shows a smiling Prince Charles, dressed in a kilt, embracing his sons during a trip to Birkhall, the home of the Prince of Wales on the Balmoral estate, in the 1980s.

Charles and Camilla also published photos of him with Prince Philip, both in military uniform, and of Camilla with her father Major Bruce Shand.
