Prince Harry’s Invictus Games documentary ‘flops as it is fails to hit Netflix’s Top 10 streaming chart in US or the UK’

Prince Harry’s new Netflix documentary ‘Heart Of Invictus’ has reportedly failed to reach the Netflix Top 10 streaming charts in both the UK and the US following its release earlier this week.

Harry’s latest media venture was released on Netflix on Wednesday as part of the Sussexes’ £80 million deal with the streaming giant – following last year’s offer of the controversial ‘Harry & Meghan’ docu-series.

In the five-episode series, athletes prepare for last year’s edition and Harry opened up about his mental health struggles after returning from military service in Afghanistan. His wife Meghan Markle appears only briefly in several scenes supporting Harry.

The Invictus Games is an annual international sporting event for wounded servicemen and veterans, founded by the Duke in 2014.

But while the show has received positive reviews from the critics, it is clear that the series has failed to impress the viewers at home.

News week reported that “Heart Of Invictus” has so far failed to find any popularity with users of the streaming platform – missing the daily Top 10 chart on each of the three days since its release.

‘Heart Of Invictus’ was reportedly supposed to be the first of the Sussexes projects to be released in partnership with Netflix, but was delayed.

It now appears that the documentary will follow the steps of their ‘Live To Lead’ offering released late last year. The series — which featured interviews with leaders like Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Greta Thunberg who were “committed to making a difference in the world” — didn’t get much attention from viewers.

Harry and Meghan may have expected the new program to reach a level similar to that of their Harry & Meghan docuseries of the same name.

The series reportedly broke streaming records upon release and became the most watched subscription TV series in Britain last year. The first episode alone was seen by an average of 4.5 million people seven days after its release.

Despite not being as popular with viewers, the series has not lacked bombshells.

On the show, Harry claimed he had no support network after returning from Afghanistan and that his trauma dating back to the death of his mother, Princess Diana, was “never discussed.”

Harry also explained that it wasn’t until he returned from the war that he became aware of the trauma he still had from Diana’s death in Paris in 1997 at the age of 12.

Harry said that when he returned from the war in 2008, the “biggest struggle for me was that no one around me could really help,” adding: “I didn’t have that support structure, that network or that expert advice to identify what was really going on. continue with me.’

Also on the show, Harry and Meghan were seen together in a private moment ahead of a speech at New York’s Salute to Freedom Gala for veterans in November 2021, in which the Duke can be heard confiding in the Duchess about his nerves.
