Furious Prince Harry ignored dinner with King Charles III and William at Balmoral after the new monarch banned Meghan from joining them on the day the Queen died, it is reported.

It is alleged that the Duke of Sussex wanted his wife to join the royal family when they met at the Scottish estate following Her Majesty’s death on September 8.

However, it is alleged that Charles called his youngest son to say it was “inappropriate” for her to be there.

It is alleged that in the ensuing feud with his family, in which he fought to get them to let the Duchess go with them, he missed his flight to Scotland.

In his absence, his brother and uncles, Andrew and Edward, all boarded an RAF plane for Scotland. They would arrive in Balmoral about half an hour after the Queen’s death.

Harry had to make his own way there and landed in Aberdeen at 6:35 pm, five minutes after Her Majesty’s death was announced to the public.

The sun reports that the prince was so angry at the delay and his wife not being allowed to come that he refused to dine at Birkhall with his father, brother and the queen consort Camilla.

Instead, he had dinner with Andrew, Edward and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, at Balmoral Castle.

The Sun quotes a source as saying: “Harry was so busy getting Meghan to Balmoral and rowing with his family that he missed the flight.

“Charles has an open invitation for Harry to dine with him when he’s in the country.

“But Harry was so furious that he refused to eat with his father and brother.

“It was a huge turn-off. And he left Balmoral at the earliest opportunity to catch the first commercial flight back to London.’

The next morning, he was the first member of the Royal Family to depart, aboard an early British Airways flight from Aberdeen, where he was pictured comforting an airport employee after she conveyed her condolences on the death of his grandmother.
