King Charles leaves Windsor as Prince Harry prepares to fly back to the UK: Duke is expected to meet monarch as he returns for Invictus Games ceremony tomorrow before joining Meghan on tour of Nigeria

The king traveled from Windsor to London today as Prince Harry prepares to fly back to Britain for a ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Charles was driven away from Windsor Castle this morning on his way to Clarence House, ahead of the Duke of Sussex’s arrival in the coming hours.

Harry is expected to meet his estranged father during his latest trip to Britain, which follows an earlier short visit in February following Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

Tomorrow evening, Harry will deliver a talk at a thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral, marking a decade since the first Invictus Games in London in 2014.

Organizers say there is no confirmation that other royals will attend, or whether Harry’s wife Meghan Markle or children Archie and Lilibet will also be in Britain.

However, the Duke is expected to come to London alone before joining the Duchess on a tour to Nigeria, where Meghan will fly alone from the US.

And Harry is not expected to see his brother Prince William, who is due to leave the capital on Thursday and Friday, or his sister-in-law Kate Middleton whose cancer treatment continues after she announced her diagnosis in March.

The Duke has invited William and other senior members of the royal family to the service, but none are expected to attend, sources said Page six in the U.S.

Royal family members who could attend include his cousins Zara Tindall and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, but no confirmation of this has been received. Harry is expected to stay in a hotel in London as he no longer has Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

But Charles is likely to be in London tomorrow for his usual weekly audience with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, allowing father and son to meet again.

Although Charles has been hurt by his son’s behavior in recent years, he has personally always insisted that he will keep the door open for him to at least say something.

However, it is believed that William will find it more difficult to forgive or even put aside his brother’s betrayal.

The Prince and Princess of Wales will be in Windsor, where they have requested privacy so that Kate can focus on her recovery from serious abdominal surgery and ongoing preventative chemotherapy for the cancer that was subsequently discovered.

It will be Harry’s first visit to Britain since February, when he returned for a short trip to visit his father the King following his cancer diagnosis.

It is also the first major event he has attended in Britain for some time and comes amid his ongoing legal case over his personal security arrangements when in Britain.

It will also be Harry’s first visit since the Princess of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis.

Experts say that while he will meet his father, the King, he is unlikely to meet Kate or Prince William.

Royal author Tom Bower told MailOnline: ‘I’m sure he won’t see Kate. I would be surprised if Meghan came.”

Fellow royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams added: ‘Catherine is undergoing preventive chemotherapy treatment and given how deep the rift is, it seems unlikely to me.

“The only hope for reconciliation is that it would happen privately and we wouldn’t know.”

And former BBC correspondent Michael Cole said: ‘After so much bad blood it is very difficult indeed to see any form of reconciliation between the Sussexes and the royal family taking place (this) week – or in the near future.’

Harry and Meghan are said to have contacted the Prince and Princess of Wales ‘privately’ after Kate announced her cancer diagnosis.

They also released a statement saying, “We wish Kate and the family health and healing.”

Tomorrow’s service at St Paul’s, which is expected to last from 5pm to 6pm, will take place two days after Harry’s son Archie celebrated his fifth birthday yesterday.

Actor Damian Lewis will recite a poem during the service.
