The teaser for Harry and Meghan’s latest Netflix project has been released, just hours after Princess Catherine’s intimate video about her recovery from cancer.
POLO, the new documentary series following the world’s best players in the sport, was announced today on Netflix’s social media and is created by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Productions.
The announcement came just hours after William and Kate posted an emotional video celebrating the end of chemotherapy for the princess, who suffered a serious health crisis earlier this year.
In the three-minute clip, Kate warned that “my focus now is on doing everything I can to stay cancer-free,” and admitted that the past nine months had been a “scary and unpredictable” time for her family.
The princess said the experience reminded her and her husband “to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
There is no indication that the Netflix announcement took place around Kate’s video.

Netflix’s announcement reads: ‘POLO is a new documentary series following the world’s best athletes and offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced world of sports.
‘From Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures, premiering in December only on Netflix.’
William and Kate’s video was filmed in Norfolk and features the couple’s three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – as well as Kate’s parents.
In her message, the Princess said: “As summer draws to a close, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and unfamiliar roads.
‘The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you’ve never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.
Kensington Palace has not confirmed whether the princess – who is pictured with William – expects to return to full duty next year.

‘This time has especially reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.’
Referring to her plans for the coming months, Catherine continued: ‘Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is my focus now. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is a long one and I must take each day as it comes. However, I am looking forward to getting back to work and making a few more public appearances over the coming months when I can.
“Despite everything that has come before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life. William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn so much strength from everyone who is helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion is truly humbling.”
And she ends with a deeply moving and emotional message to fellow cancer patients and their families, saying, “To all those continuing their own cancer journeys – I stand with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness can come light, so let that light shine brightly.”
