Prince Harry is ‘wrong’ that King Charles has not shown a ‘willingness’ to mend relations and his door has ‘always been open’, sources said, after the duke suggested his father and brother had the blame for their continued breakup.

Harry claimed that a possible reunion with his family across the pond did not seem to be in the cards, saying that his father and brother had “absolutely no will to reconcile”.

He made the claim in a trailer for an interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby, which he did as part of the publicity campaign for his new memoir, Spare, due out next week.

But those close to the King say he has consistently reiterated how much he loves his two children and made it clear that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are welcome to meet him at any time.

speaking to the TelegraphThey noted that the monarch has maintained a line of communication with the Sussexes despite the much criticism they have directed at the Royal Family.

They say he saw “tremendous glimmers of hope” in his interactions with the couple after the Queen’s death.

Talking with him Mirroranother source said Harry’s latest claim was “complete and unadulterated nonsense”.

They said: “It takes some boldness to say that when his father invited him to stay at his house when he was in the UK, he invited him to spend Christmas with the rest of the family and continued to make public statements of support.”

They also told the publication: ‘[The King] she has been saddened that she did not have the opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren. She has always left the door open for her son and will continue to do so.’

Representatives for Prince Harry have been contacted for comment.

However, some royal experts have suggested that the already strained relationship between Harry and the rest of his family could further deteriorate with the release of his memoirs.

Experts fear the Duke of Sussex and his brother William, Prince of Wales, will “never reconcile” after Spare is published, and the book will feature scathing attacks on him and his wife Kate.

A source told the sunday time: ‘In general, I think the book [will be] worse for them than the Royal Family expects.

Everything is exposed. Charles comes off better than expected, but he’s tough on William in particular, and even Kate takes a bit of a barrage.

There are these minute details and a description of the fight between the brothers. I personally can’t see how Harry and William will be able to reconcile after this.

The memoirs have been written by ghostwriter JR Moehringer, with the Duke donating part of the proceeds to charity.

Before it is published next week, a pair of interviews with Harry conducted by CBS’s Bradby and Anderson Cooper at a rented ranch in Montecito will be released.

In a trailer for the interview with Bradby, the Duke of Sussex said he “would like my father and brother back”, adding that his family “has shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile”.

Harry says “it never had to be like this” and refers to “escape and seeding” before adding “I want a family, not an institution.”

He also says, in an apparent reference to the royals, “they feel it’s best to keep us the villains in some ways,” which probably doesn’t help the frayed relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the Firm, which sources say is already over. ‘Hang on a wire’.

But a royal expert said Harry and Meghan need to learn that “silence is common sense” and airing dirty laundry in public is unlikely to help achieve the reconciliation the duke says he wants.

In a trailer for his interview with American television personality Anderson Cooper, Harry was asked why he had not shared his complaints with the family in private.

In response, he said: “Every time I have tried to do it in private, there have been briefings, leaks and seeding of stories against me and my wife.

“The family motto is never complain and never explain, it’s just a motto.”

And he added: ‘They [Buckingham Palace] you’ll feed or have a conversation with a correspondent, and that correspondent will literally spoon up information and write the story, and at the end, they’ll say they contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

“But the whole story is commented on by Buckingham Palace.

“So when we’ve been told for the last six years, ‘we can’t put out a statement to protect you,’ but you do it for other family members, there comes a point where silence is betrayal. ‘

The clips appear to confirm reports that Harry will use his memories to reveal details about disagreements between him and his brother, the 40-year-old Prince of Wales.

It comes after the duke claimed in his Netflix documentary that William broke a promise never to leak stories or inform each other after witnessing the consequences of such actions in his father’s office.
