Prince Harry ‘faces uniform humiliation’ at King Charles’s coronation

Prince Harry ‘faces uniform humiliation’ at King Charles’s coronation – while brother William allowed to wear military dress

Prince Harry could face “uniform humiliation” at King Charles III’s coronation as he may not be allowed to wear military attire.

The Duke of Sussex has announced he will attend the historic coronation on May 6, but he will be alone as Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will be staying at home in California.

Now royal commentators are considering what the prince will wear and whether he will even be allowed to fit in the processions to Westminster Abbey.

Military historian Dr Peter Johnston told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat that Harry may be allowed to show another tribute to his service, despite having done two tours in Afghanistan.

‘I imagine Harry won’t be wearing a uniform [at the Coronation],’ he said.

“Even as a veteran who did two tours in Afghanistan, he will not wear a uniform.

“I imagine he’ll be wearing his medals, but where he fits in the procession and where he goes will also probably be pretty similar to where he was at the funeral.”

Discussing Harry’s role in the procession, the historical expert added that he “will be part of, but not necessarily, a [leading] part of it’.

Prince Harry is only expected to make a short visit to the UK for the coronation, as he will reportedly skip royal events after the day – including a musical performance on May 7 – to be with his family in America.

During the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth, the Duke of Sussex walked alongside brother William, who followed King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.

Recently Gayle King, Harry and Meghan’s famous boyfriend, stated that they are in a ‘really good place’ and have made the ‘best’ decision for Meghan to stay in the US while Harry attends the coronation in London.

Ms King has said it is ‘right’ for Harry to fly to the UK on May 6 and miss Archie’s fourth birthday, as he will support his father at Westminster Abbey on the most important day of his life.

It came as Meghan signed a mega cash deal with a talent agency representing Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, LeBron James and Serena Williams that will net her tens of millions of dollars and herald the beginning of her very public comeback.
