Prince Harry, who served in the British Army for 10 years and completed two tours of Afghanistan, has created a Paralympic-style competition for wounded, sick and injured military personnel and veterans, with the first event taking place in 2014.

The week Heart of Invictus dropped on Netflix, Misan Harriman shared a somber black and white photo of Harry on his Instagram account and praised him.

Mr Harriman praised both the Duke and the Invictus Games themselves for helping to improve the lives of wounded veterans.

The photo, taken during the 2022 Invictus Games in the Netherlands, showed Prince Harry standing alone, wearing a black shirt.

Mr. Harriman wrote, “I am so proud of this man and the incredible space of healing that is (The Invictus Games).”

In September 2020, Mr Harriman, who has two daughters with Camilla Holmstroem, became the first black male photographer to shoot a British Vogue cover in its then 105-year history.

The activist-themed cover featured England footballer Marcus Rashford and model Adwoa Aboah, while Mr Harriman worked with a predominantly black team on set.

A year earlier, the Duchess of Sussex’s guest edited the September issue, traditionally the most important of the year for the magazine.

Photography is Harriman’s second career, having previously worked in finance, but he has proven prolific since stepping behind the lens.

He’s photographed everyone from Demi Lovato and Ed Harris to Elton’s husband David Furnish. Elton and David are old friends of Harry and Meghan.

The photographer told British Vogue during the couple’s second pregnancy announcement shoot that the Duchess of Sussex thanked him for helping her find love with Prince Harry, saying: ‘Meg reminded me that if I don’t meet her a mutual friend had suggested, she wouldn’t. met Harry. I am grateful for the small role I played.”

He was a wedding guest at their 2018 nuptials, and Harriman captured a birthday portrait of the couple’s one-year-old daughter Lilibet last year.
