Prince George, Princess Charlotte at the star-studded Coronation concert in Windsor

Princess Charlotte put on an animated display as she and her brother Prince George joined their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, at the star-studded Coronation concert tonight.

The young royals were well dressed as they attended the Windsor musical extravaganza alongside other members of the royal family, including the King and Queen, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Zara Tindall.

Take That, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and others will take the stage at the castle after the King’s coronation yesterday.

It comes in the midst of a busy weekend for the petty royals, who all starred in yesterday’s coronation, to watch their grandfather be crowned king.

Prince George, nine, was selected as one of the monarch’s pages of honor, while Charlotte, eight, took a protective and reassuring role with her younger brother Louis, five, at the event.

Charlotte was seen sitting next to her little brother in a royal car with their parents after leaving the palace in the morning, and a short time later in the front row of the abbey.

She wore an Alexander McQueen dress and cape of ivory silk crepe with ivory embroidery with motifs of roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks, to signify the four nations.

She also wore a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen silver, crystal and silver wire headpiece, similar to the one worn by the Princess of Wales for the occasion.

Meanwhile, during the opening moments of the historical service, she held hands with her cheeky little brother.

They behaved impeccably during the service, with Charlotte providing a reassuring presence for her younger brother, who was able to suppress a few yawns during the sacred service.

George, Charlotte and Louis were reunited after the service as they drove off from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace in a carriage with their parents.

The trio later appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with their parents, their newly crowned grandparents The King and Queen and the other working royals. During this performance, Charlotte could be seen giggling with her youngest brother.

More than 18 million people in the UK tuned in to watch the ceremony on TV, compared to 26.5 million for the late Queen’s funeral in September.

Today’s concert took place after Buckingham Palace issued the first public statement on behalf of Charles and Camilla since they were crowned.

A spokesman for the palace said the King and Queen were “deeply grateful” to everyone involved in organizing the celebrations and ceremony, and to the spectators who attended the day.

“Their Majesties were deeply moved by yesterday’s events and deeply grateful to all who helped make it such a glorious event – and to the very many who showed their support in such numbers in London and beyond.” he said.

The King, Queen and Royal Family have joined some 20,000 members of the public in this musical extravaganza.

Heir to the throne William will take the stage to deliver a speech at the event in the grounds of Windsor Castle, with Kensington Palace sharing behind-the-scenes footage of the Prince during rehearsals.

The show, hosted by Downton Abbey and Paddington actor Hugh Bonneville, will feature Hollywood star Tom Cruise, Dynasty actress Dame Joan Collins, adventurer Bear Grylls and singer Sir Tom Jones via video message.

The series of pre-recorded sketches reveals little-known facts about the monarch and includes moments from the much-loved literary character Winnie-the-Pooh – seemingly echoing the famous moment Paddington Bear had tea with the Queen on her Platinum Jubilee celebration.

There will also be performances by Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, veteran singer Steve Winwood – whose grandson Arthur Eliot was one of Camilla’s pages of honor – and Nicole Scherzinger of The Pussycat Dolls.

Classical acts such as Andrea Bocelli, bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel and Chinese pianist Lang Lang will also perform.

The Royal Ballet, Royal Opera, Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal College of Music and Royal College of Art come together for the first time to create a one-off performance starring Sex Education and Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa and Olivier Award nominee Mei Mac.

Thousands of street parties have been held across the country and people have been encouraged to gather for the Coronation Big Lunch.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty, hosted a luncheon in Downing Street, inviting volunteers, Ukrainian refugees and members of youth groups.

Meanwhile, Camilla asked for her coronation bouquet of English spring flowers on the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior in the Coronation Church, Westminster Abbey.

The simple posy, including auricles, the late Queen’s favorite lily of the valley, and one of Charles’ favorite hellebores, by Shane Connolly, the King and Queen’s favorite florist, was placed at the memorial.

Royal brides traditionally send their bouquets to be placed there the day after their wedding in a tradition started by the Queen Mother.

Camilla did not wear the flowers on Saturday because it was a coronation and not a wedding, the palace said.
