Prince Andrew takes a ride as royal fans wait to see if he attends Easter Sunday service

Prince Andrew has been caught driving as royal observers wait to see if he will attend tomorrow’s Easter Sunday service.

The Duke of York enjoyed a relaxing horse ride in the grounds of Windsor Castle today.

The royal family’s Easter celebration is one of the most important occasions in the calendar as it was said to be much loved the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The royals usually celebrate the holiday at Windsor Castle and attend a church service at St George’s Chapel on Sunday before meeting for lunch.

However, with Netflix drama Scoop, which depicts the infamous interview between Andrew, 64, and Emily Maitlis, set to air on April 5, speculation is mounting as to whether he will appear.

Andrew is left out in the cold after being forced to step back from royal duties following controversy over his former friendship with the late American financier and serial pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

He appeared to be back in favor and smiling as he led the way as members of the royal family attended King Constantine’s commemoration in Windsor on February 27.

On Thursday, King Charles decided to record a special audio message to be played during the annual White Service.

Queen Camilla replaced the king at the centuries-old ceremony in Worcester, marking the first time a consort had performed this task on behalf of the monarch.

White recipients and members of the public passed on their well wishes to the King and Princess of Wales as they met the Queen, who presented ceremonial coins to people recognized for their service to the community at the traditional Easter service.

While her arrival was tempered by the shouts of Republic protesters, who had gathered outside the cathedral loudly chanting “Down with the Crown,” the rest of the ceremony went on as planned.

This Easter will be very different for the royal family after King Charles and the Princess of Wales were diagnosed with shock cancer.

Instead of a line-up of glamorous royals like Zara and Mike Tindall, Kate and Prince William with their children, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, the Duchess of Edinburgh and Lady Sarah Chatto, the occasion will be ‘smaller than usual’.

The king – making his most important public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer – will attend the church service on Easter Sunday alongside Queen Camilla, 76, and other members of the royal family.
