Prince Andrew laughs as he meets a jogger on his way to his weekly riding trip through Windsor

Prince Andrew has been photographed laughing as he met a jogger on the way to his weekly riding trip through Windsor today.

Sitting behind the wheel of his black Range Rover, the Duke of York was caught slowing down for the jogger and smiling as he raised his hand in thanks.

In another photo, the prince is seen with a more somber expression as he points to something in the distance.

It comes after an eventful week for Prince Andrew, during which his brother King Charles reportedly offered him the keys to Frogmore Cottage after evicting the Sussexes from the five-bedroom home, then of feeling hurt by the couple’s treatment of the royal family.

However, since learning that the king is planning budget cuts to royal funds, the disgraced duke has refused to leave his current accommodation: the 30-bedroom Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Insiders said the 63-year-old even offered to be in charge of managing some of the royal family’s most beloved estates, including Queen Elizabeth’s beloved summer residence, Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, as part of his negotiations to leave his royal mansion.

The sources also claimed that the duke pleaded with the king for more royal responsibility, as he feels he “still deserves to be treated like a member of royalty.”

A source said: “Andrew insists on having a job even though he was forced out of his duties and is now being kicked out of his house,” according to Mirror.

They added that the King is at odds with his brother and “has told him directly, there is no chance of that happening.”

King Charles has reportedly offered his brother Prince Andrew the keys to Frogmore Cottage after evicting the Sussexes from the five-bedroom home after feeling hurt by Harry’s treatment of the royal family.

In recent weeks, the King has apparently asked all members of the royal family to reduce and advance less money from the Duchy, now owned by Carlos.

But this week Prince Andrew said he doesn’t want to leave his mansion in the grounds of Windsor Castle, despite telling friends he fears he won’t be able to pay its upkeep if the king cuts his grant of £250,000 a year.

The Duke of York is currently paying £250 a week for a state-subsidized 30-bedroom mansion with 98 acres of land and a swimming pool, and he’s not about to leave it after 20 years.

Today, the duke was also photographed with a big smile on his face as he rode a horse with his grooms.
