Prince Andrew is ‘watching over’ Harry and Meghan’s life in the US as he plans a new non-title career.
- Andrew wants to ‘forge a new career’ and is interested in ‘business and charity’
- He’s been ‘watching’ Harry and Meghan’s life in the US for ideas.
- Insiders say that, unlike the Sussexes, he will steer clear of Netflix-style projects.
Prince Andrew has been “keeping an eye on” Harry and Meghan’s life in the United States as he considers his next career, it has been reported.
The 62-year-old Duke of York was stripped of his royal titles and roles last year, but experts say he is “less concerned” about the situation than people realize.
A source close to Andrew said Sun that he has been following the Sussexes’ journey ‘very, very closely’ as he considers ways to ‘carve out a new career’.
The disgraced duke is understood to be planning a comeback that will restore his tarnished reputation. He is also reportedly considering legal action against his sexual assault accuser, Virginia Giuffre.

A source close to Andrew claims he has been following Harry and Meghan’s (pictured 2017) journey “very, very closely” as he considers ways to “carve out a new career”.
The disgraced duke is understood to be planning a comeback that will restore his tarnished reputation. He is pictured riding a horse in the grounds of the Windsor Estate on February 4.
Andrew is apparently impressed by how Harry and Meghan were able to “establish a new working life away from the royal family” in California.
The source claimed that he is “very interested” in “business and charity”, but unlike his nephew, he would steer clear of Netflix-style projects.
The royals are also reportedly assembling their own team. It is understood that he recently lost his communications officer of two years.
MailOnline has reached out to Andrew’s representatives via email for comment.
Andrew’s alleged attempt to seek a life in America follows reports that his lawyers are taking steps to unseal legal documents involving Ms Giuffre in hopes of “demolishing” her story and restoring her reputation.
The Duke of York paid an estimated £12 million settlement to Ms Giuffre after she claimed he had sex with her when she was 17, which he denies.
Her legal team has sought access to documents in a lawsuit between Ms Giuffre, 39, and American lawyer Alan Dershowitz, whom she previously accused of abuse but later admitted she had made a mistake. The Sunday Times reported.
The prince was stripped of all royal duties and military titles in the wake of his 2019 BBC Newsnight interview, in which he was unrepentant about his friendship with Ghislaine Maxwell and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew paid Virginia Giuffre (pictured in November 2022) a £12m out-of-court settlement last year to drop the civil claim in the US.

He insisted that Giuffre’s claim of a sexual encounter in 2001 “did not happen”, questioning the validity of a photograph of the two taken at Maxwell’s Mews home.
Royal analysts believe the Queen left her a substantial inheritance and this has provided her with the security, if she so chooses, to bring a legal challenge against Ms Giuffre.
Others suspect Andrew, who was recently dubbed one of the most unpopular royals, may be writing a memoir to try to clear his name after consistently denying Mrs Giuffre’s allegations.
The duke also recently told friends that a “mysterious development” will restore his disgraced reputation in the coming months.
