Prime Video confirms that season 2 of Mr and Mrs Smith is coming in a spoiler-y teaser video
Get ready for more spy adventures under the guise of a loving married couple, as Prime Video has revealed Mr. and Mrs. Smith Season 2 is officially underway.
In Season 1, a remake of the 2005 Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie film, John Smith (Donald Glover) and Jane Smith (Maya Erskine) were brought together by a mysterious spy agency as Mr & Mrs to do their dirty work. And over the course of eight episodes, things get really messy.
In a spoiler-y teaser video posted to Prime Video’s official Twitter, fans get a small glimpse of the moments following the season 1 finale. That and season 2’s proposal as the next secret mission to be carried out.

In a press release, Amazon MGM boss Jennifer Salke further confirmed: βWe are thrilled to announce that a second season of our groundbreaking spy series, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, is in the works for our global Prime Video customers.β

Sources reportedly say that Donald Glover and Maya Erskine β stars of one of the best Prime Video shows β who are not expected to return (per Variety). Fear not, as Glover will return as co-creators along with Francesca Sloane. Although we are waiting for an official word from Amazon on both facts.
We don’t know much more yet, but if our review of Mr. and Mrs. Smith season 1 If it’s anything to go by, we hope Season 2 continues in the vein of bringing a hugely entertaining, funny, daring and spy-driven adventure, led by some incredible actors, to our screens. Whoever then signs up to chat with the mysterious Hihi better prepare themselves.
