‘The things of the best friend. An important day,’ she captioned the post, which also included a video of the two chatting.
“Not just because the Prime Minister of Australia wants to take a selfie with you, but because of what it means. Sharing soon.
What could we be talking about? Or what would you say to the Prime Minister of Australia if you met him?’
The couple were seen attending the same event when the Prime Minister, 59, agreed to take a photo with the 35-year-old reality star.
The former Neighbors star made headlines last year after she and husband Ankur Dogra faced backlash and online abuse over their ‘villain edit’ on The Block.
Johal said the couple’s experience on The Block was “culturally unsafe” and they approached it “naively” without understanding how “manipulative” reality TV can be.
The actress revealed that 15 former contestants had reached out to her with messages of support, warning them to “brace themselves” for the inevitable abuse.
Johal, who was labeled a ‘villain’ in the latest season of the revamp show, was delighted to have done it and shared some snaps of the moment on Instagram.
“When you attribute the word ‘cheater’ to a person of color, they immediately say, ‘Oh, these Indians are stealing our jobs, get the hell out of our country,'” he said earlier this year.
‘These people come and find you, find your email address. They find his family’s email address.
They try to dirty you. They just don’t stop and it’s relentless.
