Premiere date for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia is confirmed as Robert Irwin joins Julia Morris on the new season

Channel 10 has announced the new season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia premieres on Sunday, March 24.

The upcoming series will see Robert Irwin co-host the show alongside returning host Julia Morris.

He’s about to bring some real Hollywood star power to the South African jungle as he makes his debut.

Robert beat big names Sam Pang, Jimmy Rees, Curtis Stone, Beau Ryan and Tristan MacManus for the role of TV presenter.

The network had a tough job recruiting popular host Dr. to replace Chris Brown, with the casting during the audition impressed by Robert’s natural charm.

According to reports, A-listers are ‘desperate’ to appear on the show thanks to their friendship with hunky Wildlife Warrior.

“The Irwins have more than their fair share of A-list celebrities in their circle, including the Hemsworths and Melissa Joan Hart, this year’s most rumored contestant,” a production insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

‘There are a number of celebrities we ask every year and maybe stars like Melissa or Jean-Claude Van Damme will finally say yes this year. It’s our year to catch some of those white whales.’

In October, Ny Breaking Australia revealed that Robert will pocket almost half a million dollars for his month-and-a-half jaunt into the wilds of South Africa.

According to a well-placed source at Channel 10, Irwin will “earn more than $430,000” from his six-week stint in the jungle, and they believe he will be “worth every penny.”

This isn’t Robert’s first time appearing in the jungle, as in 2016 the wildlife warrior appeared as a guest on the show alongside his mother, Terri, and sister Bindi.

Robert currently has 4.8 million Instagram followers, while posts featuring his love, 19, continue to go viral.
