The Premier League is reportedly coming to the United States this summer in the form of a six-team tournament.

Chelsea, Newcastle, Brentford, Brighton and Aston Villa will all take part, and Leeds United likely if they retain their Premier League status, per The athletic.

Reportedly labeled the ‘Summer Series’, England’s top flight teams will go head-to-head along the east coast at the end of July.

It follows the NBA and NFL expanding their appeal to global audiences, taking part in games in Paris, London and Munich respectively – which have been noted as “inspiration” for the upcoming league.

The United States has been a frequent summer destination for Premier League clubs to fine-tune their respective rosters and increase marketability in an ever-expanding global competition.
