Pregnant woman’s video shows her husband complaining about HIS discomfort in hospital

A TikToker has caused a stir after posting a video of her ex-husband complaining about his discomfort at the hospital while she was in labor preparing to give birth to their daughter.

As a warning to other women with ‘narcissistic’ partners, Mariah Lee, who is based in the US, posted two videos demonstrating an example of her ex’s ‘selfish’ behavior captioned with the hashtags #narcissisticpersonalitydisorder #narcissistsurvivor.

In the videos, his now ex-partner is seen complaining about the fact that he doesn’t have his own ‘proper’ bed, has no pillow and is hungry.

At the beginning of the first video, Mariah asks, “Since I have to prepare my body to expel another human being, what do you have to prepare for?”

Your partner responds with a smile on their face: ‘I have to be bothered, I have to be out of my surroundings, I have to be away from my TV, the food I want to eat, I can’t be comfortable, this chair is not comfortable.

He continues, unaware that Mariah is filming him: ‘This is a dual process, you know?

‘When you have the baby, that’s fine, that’s fine, the spotlight is on you, but in the meantime it’s supposed to be give and take. I’m supposed to be comfortable too!

When Mariah tells her ex that she didn’t sleep well the night before and that the bed isn’t comfortable, he tells her that at least he has a bed and a mattress.

They treat me like an animal! she exclaims.

In a follow-up video, Mariah’s ex describes it as “not an ideal circumstance,” adding that if it were a hotel room with a bed and a minibar, things could be better.

Mariah Lee (pictured right) said she caught her ex texting another woman while she was trying to talk to him.

Visualizing his ideal scenario, he continues: “Maybe a blackjack table… a cocktail… maybe I could go for a spa treatment, a haircut in the sauna, a manicure.”

Following his comments, Mariah asks her then-partner why he’s there, to which he replies, “I’m here to support you through this process.”

But she tells him that he doesn’t support her and when she asks him to rub her back because it hurts, he refuses.

At one point, the mom-to-be said she caught him texting another woman while she was trying to talk to him.

Trauma bonds are real! This man started the cycle when I was only 19 and didn’t really understand the signs of the cycle of abuse.

To make matters worse, when it came to giving birth, the umbilical cord was wrapped around their daughter’s neck and her husband started gagging to get the attention of the medical team.

Mariah wrote: “If my mom hadn’t been there to help me and reassure the doctor that I was okay, I don’t know what would have happened.”

To date, his videos have been viewed more than 1.2 million times and many viewers criticized his ex for his behavior.

Annie Magnan commented: As an L&D (labor and delivery) nurse, I would have words for him. I have told partners before that they do not support me. Fortunately I haven’t had to in a long time.

While Ember Dawn said that Mariah’s story struck a chord, writing: ‘A complete child in an adult body. It’s sad. Mine was mad that he had to take me to the hospital like 1 am and would yell at me during trips to OB appointments.

Mariah says she has since filed for divorce and the paperwork is currently pending.

The mother of two shared her experience of narcissistic behavior as a warning to others.

As a warning to others, the mental health advocate concluded: ‘Trauma ties are real! This man started the cycle when I was only 19 and didn’t really understand the signs of the cycle of abuse.

“It wasn’t until a domestic abuse advocate educated me on how wrong the things I was doing were doing. He read a notebook that I had and asked me how he could wake up every day. My answer: 1. My children 2. What other choice did he have?

‘She was amazing and helped me get away from him. Reliving this is hard, but sharing is important.

“This video was actually quite a nice exchange about his spectrum of abuse. I know there are more women out there who have intuition, but he always wins with trauma bonding.

‘I want to show that these things add up. If your gut tells you something is wrong, trust it. I thought I owed my daughters a two-parent home because I never had one. The truth is that a happy single parent home is the best option! To all my other survivors, you can do it too!’
