A pregnant woman has expressed her 'disgust' at her husband's 'strange' close relationship with her mother – which has seen the pair become so intimate that they hold hands, enjoy one-on-one time together and even dress in matching outfits .
In the new series of TLC's Smothered, DeLeesa focuses on the close bond between her mother India and her other half Trevor – who she even calls “disgusting” – as she is left alone for hours as they play bingo and hoverboard.
For the past two years, New York-born India, 59, has lived with her daughter and her son-in-law in Atlanta, Georgia, but her affection for her daughter's 37-year-old husband has exacerbated their problems.
In a preview clip shared exclusively with DailyMail.com, DeLeesa laments, “My husband and my mother are best friends and have the strangest, disgusting relationship I have ever seen.

In a clip shared exclusively with DailyMail.com, India clings to her son-in-law as they skate
'I can't stand it, especially because my mother and I don't get along. It should be me and him, not my mother and him.”
Despite DeLeesa and her mother's difficult relationship, Trevor invited India to live with them two years ago in a desperate attempt to bring them closer together.
However, his attempts to mediate the couple have been thwarted due to his increasingly close relationship with his mother-in-law.
“It was actually my idea that my mother-in-law would come and live here,” he says.
'I had hoped that her coming here would help them get closer, tackle many of their problems and get through them together. But unfortunately that is not the case at all.'
He continues: 'I don't want my relationship with my wife to suffer. I love my wife. I never want to lose her.
“But I feel like she doesn't hear me when it comes to this situation. And I don't know how to handle it, I don't know the best way to solve it.'

When a frustrated DeLeesa calls her husband to find out where they are, her childish mother India blows raspberries at her daughter before grabbing Trevor's phone and hanging up.
The situation leads to DeLeesa and Trevor clashing, with the devastated bride asking, “Who plays bingo for seven hours?”
“It hasn't even been seven hours, you're being dramatic,” Trevor replies. “We've literally been here for an hour.”
As he then tries to tell his wife that he will be gone for another hour, India starts waving a bar of chocolate in his face, which he then eats.
Trevor says in a confessional with mother-in-law India by his side, “At this point in my relationship with DeLeesa, she feels threatened.”

Trevor and India's unusual relationship is certainly a head-scratcher, and according to TLC, viewers will see their closeness laid bare.
'They wear matching outfits, eat from each other's mouths, clean each other's ears and India is even planning to have dentures made from a mold of Trevor's mouth so they have the same smile!' read a synopsis.
“Their intimacy is especially troubling for Trevor's wife and India's daughter, DeLeesa.
Now that DeLeesa is pregnant and needs her husband's support more than ever, she gives Trevor an ultimatum.
“Trevor finally realizes the seriousness of the situation when DeLeesa ends up in the hospital due to health issues.”
