Uzo Aduba took to Instagram to share the results of her baby shower while reflecting on the special event.
The 42-year-old Orange Is The New Black actress engaged her audience of 2.2 million as she wrote a heartfelt caption.
She wore a pink maternity dress and posed with husband Robert Sweeting.
She captioned the images: ‘Our baby shower :). It was such a great feeling to have our families organize a baby shower for us and spend great time with our loved ones. Robert and I are getting more and more excited every day.’
Uzo, who is from Boston, added, “To our friends and family, thank you for sharing this journey with us and making sure this baby knows how loved they already are.” We had a good time!’

Acknowledging that her pink attire may indicate the couple is expecting a baby girl, the Netflix sensation cleared up any confusion.
She added at the end of the post, “ps this choice of clothing refers to nothing. I honestly just liked the color. #babyshower.’
Aduba announced her pregnancy in June at the 2023 Tony Awards.
Abu hit the red carpet in a gorgeous orange coat of Christian Siriano costume with a matching orange bra as she rocked her burgeoning belly.
“The happy couple are over the moon about their growing family and are thrilled to be parents,” an insider said People at the time.
That same month, she announced her baby joy on Instagram, writing, “What a blessing.

It comes after in September 2021, a source confirmed to the outlet that the entertainer and her New York beau had tied the knot.
That month, Aduba first acknowledged her union in an Instagram post.
Quoting the 1989 movie, she wrote in the caption, “When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”
She added, “For some of us, it can feel like we’ve been waiting our whole lives for our special someone.
“My heart, my love – I’m so glad my life started with you last year. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me.’
