Shaughna Phillips has begged her fans not to send her any ‘horror stories’ of being induced and admitted her ‘anxiety’ before giving birth.
The former Love Island star, 28, is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Billy Webb, 29, and passed her due date on March 25.
Shaughna took to Instagram on Wednesday to share that she will be inducted on Sunday when she gave her 1.4 million followers a birth update.
Induction is when a health professional starts labor artificially, often when the baby is late.
But on Thursday, Shaughna took to her Instagram Stories to ask her fans not to send her “horror stories” about being induced after receiving some negative messages.
Anxiety: Shaughna Phillips has pleaded with her fans not to send her ‘horror stories’ of being induced and shared her ‘anxiety’ before giving birth
She said hearing negative stories isn’t “helpful” as she admitted to her “anxiety” before becoming a new mother.
Shaughna, who will be raising her son as a single mother after her boyfriend’s arrest, said being “ashamed of mom” is the last thing she needs right now.
She wrote: ‘Polite request. Please refrain from sending me your induction horror stories, or her opinions on why induction is bad for my baby.
‘I appreciate that you mean well, but it’s not helpful. As a new mom, you know the anxiety I’m already feeling, and the last thing I need to hear about is horrible or embarrassing experiences.
“Thank you for all the lovely messages I’ve received, they far outweigh the negative ones.”
It comes after Shaughna shared with her fans that she will be induced in just a few days on Sunday after she passed her due date last week.
Shaughna said her son clearly wants to be an April babe like her, as the star turns 29 on April 11, just nine days after her planned induction.
Sharing a selfie of herself looking worried on her Instagram Stories, she wrote: ‘Induction booked for Sunday. My March baby clearly wants to be an April baby like her mom.
The mom-to-be also detailed her health issues while joking that her followers would call her an ‘ambulance’ if she hadn’t put a filter on the snap.
“If I didn’t have a filter on my face, one of my followers would definitely call an ambulance for me,” he added.

‘Not helpful’: On Thursday, Shaughna took to her Instagram Stories to plead with her fans not to send her ‘horror stories’ of being induced, as she admitted it’s the ‘last thing’ she needs.
It comes after Shaughna was hospitalized earlier this month, just ten days before her due date passed.
Shaughna took to Instagram to share a close-up photo of her bump, while explaining why she’s been absent from social media recently.
“I haven’t updated everyone because things were up in the air and I didn’t know what was going on,” he told his followers.
“I spent the night in the hospital on Friday thinking I was going to be induced, but luckily it wasn’t necessary and I was able to come home and rest,” Shaughna continued.
He added that he had had two sweeps since Sunday “and things are definitely moving along very well.”
A sweep involves an internal exam by a midwife or doctor to separate the membranes of the amniotic sac that surrounds the baby from the cervix. This separation releases hormones that can start labor.
Shaughna added that she had also been concerned by the thought that she had another stretch mark on her tummy, “but it turns out it was an imprint from my blanket.”
She is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Billy, who was recently accused of drug offences, and now facing the possibility of giving birth alone.
Billy could face up to 16 years in prison if convicted after police arrested the real estate agent in a drug raid last month.
The Sun reported that police allegedly recovered cocaine and MDMA before a follow-up search at a nearby address revealed a large quantity of illicit substances.
Billy was then charged with one count of possession with intent to supply a Schedule A drug and one count of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
Shaughna recently broke her silence after Billy was charged with drug offences.
She said OK! Magazine: ‘After a few challenging weeks, obviously the baby’s father is gone.
Update: It came after Shaughna took to Instagram on Wednesday to share that she will be inducted on Sunday.
Couple: Her boyfriend Billy, 29, was recently charged with drug offences, and Shaughna now faces the prospect of giving birth alone.
“But my main goal has always been to prepare for the birth and try to be as calm as possible. I’m good at just saying, “Okay, the show must go on.”
She added: ‘Billy’s not around, but I don’t want to say I’m doing it alone, because I absolutely am not, my family is amazing.
“It’s going to be different, but I don’t want to say it’s going to be bad.”
Shaughna, who kept her boyfriend off social media to protect his privacy, testified last month that she “had no knowledge of any activity related to the allegations against Billy.”
