Pregnant Meghan Trainor shares sweet video joking about her unborn baby keeping her awake

Pregnant Meghan Trainor shared a funny video about her unborn baby kicking her and keeping her up at night on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old pop star, who shares her nearly two-year-old son Riley with Spy Kids actor Daryl Sabara, took to TikTok to post the hilarious clip.

She wrote: “Trying to tell my unborn child to stop kicking me awake all night.”

Meghan, who is 22 weeks pregnant, danced with Daryl and murmured the audio of his new song I Am Your Mother while cradling his tummy.

She playfully moved her finger to her tummy and pretended to be mad at her baby for keeping her up all night as the lyrics: ‘I’m your mother, listen to me’ played.

The star and Daryl, whom she married in 2018, put fingers to their lips as the song reached the line ‘shhh’.

As the video came to a close, Meghan held Riley up as Daryl smiled in the background and she captioned her post: “I secretly love these kicks so much.”

After the singer announced her pregnancy in January, she told people magazine: ‘What a bless. I am so thankful that I was able to get pregnant.

‘And I’m like, ‘I’m crushing it. This is incredible. These are my dreams’. I’m halfway there, I want four children!

At that point, she revealed that she and Daryl shared the news with Riley, but don’t think the boy fully understands it yet.

She said: “We tried to tell her, ‘There’s a baby in the womb,’ but then she points to her belly now and says, ‘Baby.’

And we say, ‘Oh no, it’s not in yours, it’s in mommy’s womb!’

In addition to preparing for the arrival of her baby, Meghan is also gearing up for the launch of her first book, Dear Future Mama.

In the book, she will talk about her experiences with pregnancy along with contributions from various experts.

Elsewhere, Trainor revealed that she was pregnant with Riley in 2020 during a surprise appearance on TODAY with Hoda and Jenna.

“We were thinking about who I tell first, and I thought, I told Hoda since I was 19 going on the TODAY show (that) I’m going to have the most babies in the world.

“It finally happened, and we’re very excited.”

Last year she said she wanted to have more kids and three years ago she shared that she wanted to have ‘a bunch of babies’.

‘I want triplets!’ Trainor said at the time. ‘I want to finish it all at once and say, put them in there. You know what I’m talking? Let’s remove it.

‘Let’s do it once. You and I. I want twins or triplets. I want a doctor to put them in, you know?

Meghan began dating Daryl in 2016, and the couple got engaged in December 2017, with the wedding taking place exactly one year later.
