Pregnant Hayley Hughes hits back at trolls as she is cruelly mum-shamed over her baby shower look

Pregnant Love Island star Hayley Hughes is cruelly mother-shamed after posting a slew of snaps from her baby shower.

The reality star, 27, – who is expecting her first child with a mystery partner – shared a few photos from the special day on her Instagram stories.

The actress and singer wore a sheer lace top, which showed off her blossoming baby bump for her party.

She paired it with a matching skinny white lace miniskirt and wrote alongside the snaps, “11/06/2023 ☁️ my baby bear’s brunch,” followed by a teddy bear emoji and a white heart emoji.

The stunner accessorized the look with a dazzling diamond necklace, dainty rings, a classy watch and bracelets.

The Instagram carousel featured a slew of other gorgeous snaps from the lavish party — including a sensational cake with a little bear on top, captioned, “We Can Bearly Wait.”

Hayley also shared photos of the set table with lots of floral decorations and embellishments for the special occasions, all with a white theme.

The beauty posed while rocking her baby bump with one of her friends.

Luxurious decorations were not spared with plenty of white roses and flower petals, as well as bear-themed candies and muffins.

But the star received some backlash right under her Instagram post, when one of her followers criticized her outfit choice.

“I don’t like the outfit at all, it looks like a nightgown/underwear,” one of the trolls wrote.

The former Love Island star didn’t hesitate to speak her mind, as she bluntly replied, “Well done, your opinion doesn’t matter. Have a nice day xoxo.’

Although people’s reactions were mixed, some other fans and friends were excited about Hayley’s look.

Former Love Island star Georgia Steel penned a supportive comment, “Obsessed with everything,” adding another, “So so beautiful ❤️.”

Love Island and Celebrity Ghost Hunt star Georgia Harrison also gushed about Hayley, writing, “Woooo xxx.”

Earlier in April, Hayley announced on Instagram that she was expecting her first child.

The reality star posted a series of sweet snaps from her pregnancy journey so far with her mystery partner.

It included video of a baby scan, her reveal that the new arrival is expected in September and a photo of her positive pregnancy test.

She ended the sweet slideshow of photos with the words, “You’re the best thing that’s ever been mine.”

Hayley told her 752,000 followers that her “baby bear” was everything she and her partner, whom she has never publicly named or pictured, wanted.

She captioned her post: “a dream come true ☁️ my little baby bear❤️ you are everything we’ve ever wanted…”

Her friends and fans flocked to her comments to congratulate her, with Kaz Crossley writing, “Congratulations baby.”

Meanwhile, former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison said, “Congratulations gorgeous girl,” and Liberty Poole said, “Congratulations.”

Another friend, social media star Saffron Barker, wrote, “Aw congratulations, beautiful.”

Hayley has kept her boyfriend out of the public eye and has never revealed his name or face in photos.

On her Instagram post announcing her pregnancy, only the back of her mystery man’s head was visible.

And in January, she shared a gushing New Year’s post about her partner, who she’s been with for over a year, again not revealing his face.

She wrote, “Another year with you….happy new year.”

The former Love Islander was in the villa for two weeks and initially dated Eyal Booker before linking up again with Charlie Frederick.

However, her time in the villa was short-lived and she received her marching orders after 13 days.

Later, in her post-Love Island life, she had a seven-month romance with DJ Tom Zanetti before they broke up.
