Gemma Atkinson has revealed the powerful body confidence message she’s dishing out to three-year-old daughter Mia.
The actress, 38, is currently expecting her second child with fiancé Gorka Marquez, 32, and confessed to feeling self-conscious about her looks while on a family holiday.
Gemma took to Instagram on Sunday and shared an adorable video playing on the beach with her daughter while dressed in a colorful bikini.
Still, she admitted that she struggled with feeling “puffy, bloated and uncomfortable,” adding that she’d “never had so much cellulite in my life.”
While struggling with her insecurities, Gemma revealed that she went to the beach in pants, but after watching Mia play carefree, she realized she didn’t want to pass on any “negative” thoughts to her daughter.

She explained, “I bought beach pants to wear on this vacation because even though I know why it happens and how smart my body is, I’ve never been so puffy, bloated, uncomfortable with everyday tasks and had so much cellulite.” . in my life.
‘My breasts alone are 3 cup sizes larger! 2nd pregnancy, almost 4 years older and with a boy this time it was a lot harder for my body. (I know how we feel about our bodies is relevant to the individual and it’s just how I currently feel in MY body).
“I went to the beach on day 1 of this vacation, watched Mia play and suddenly felt relaxed. It occurred to me that if I kept them on she would ask why I’m wearing pants and I thought about the negative effect it could have on her later when I said “because mom’s legs and butt are much bigger than usual ” .
“I don’t want her to feel like she has to cover herself, especially on the beach!”
“So the pants came in handy for wiping up my non-alcoholic cocktail, but otherwise it wasn’t necessary!” I have worn my bikinis every day.
“The tops of my thighs were chafing like an MF, but we had a great time at the beach and made the most incredible memories as a family.
“Can’t believe next time we have a little guy with us as a family of 4. We are so lucky and so blessed ❤️

Gemma previously revealed that she’s “embracing the changes” to her body, despite being dragged over her weight and being told she’s “let herself go.”
She said OK! magazine: “I carried a lot heavier this time. My legs have gotten bigger. My breasts have tripled in size – Gorka is living his best life with that! I embrace the changes because it’s a sign that my body is doing what it needs to do.
“I will always get this stuff—pregnant or not. Even with Mia, I wasn’t one of those women who said, “Oh no, I’m gaining weight.”
The Hollyoaks star, who announced last month that she’s expecting a baby boy later this year, also revealed she’s put her wedding plans on hold for now.
Gorka popped the question to Gemma on Valentine’s Day in 2021, four years after meeting on Strictly Come Dancing.
She admitted that they have considered going to the “registration office and just do it,” but it would leave her family disappointed.
While they don’t have much planned, she said they both agree that they only want close family at the wedding, but will throw a big party to celebrate a week later.
Gemma said, “There have been a few times now where we’ve driven past a registry office and said, ‘Shall we just go in and do it?’
“We didn’t plan anything other than we know we want it very small and very intimate. We’ve agreed only close family, a handful of friends and a big party in a week or so after that.’
