Pregnant Emily Atack shows off her baby bump in linen dungarees as she shops in London – after soaring heatwave left her needing medical attention at the TV BAFTA Awards

Emily Atack made the most of the lingering spring temperatures on Thursday, days after a massive heat wave led to the pregnant actress needing medical attention.

Atack, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Alistair Garner, wore linen dungarees as she ventured out to London with a friend.

The former Inbetweeners star, 36, completed her look with tan leather sandals, while heavily tinted sunglasses and a matching black handbag were her only statement accessories.

The appearances come after she required medical attention at the BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday afternoon.

Atack went to see a doctor on the hottest day of the year as temperatures soared across the UK.

The pregnant star was seen on the side of a street before being escorted to a car by a paramedic.

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter could be seen sitting with her to make sure she was getting enough help.

A source said The sun: ‘Emily was helped by security to find her car. It took a while for them to find it, so the doctors found her a seat and offered her some water because it was so hot.”

In March, Atack revealed how pregnancy has changed her priorities during an appearance on Loose Women before welcoming her first child.

The actress said her body was now a temple after friends worried in the past that she had not taken good care of herself.

She revealed to the panel how excited she was to welcome her baby – which she has confirmed is a boy – and said she felt “extremely connected” to her body now more than ever.

“My friends used to tell me they weren’t taking care of myself enough and staying up too late and stuff, and now I’m like, ‘No, my body is a vessel.’

“It’s so important that I go to bed early and take good care of myself.”

Atack announced the happy news that she is expecting her first child on Instagram in early January, with a photo of her blossoming baby bump, saying she was “over the moon.”

She did not confirm Alistair’s identity in the post, but her publicist later confirmed the relationship and they have reportedly gone home together as they prepare for the baby’s arrival.

But her path to motherhood has not been easy and she says she has suffered from ‘every symptom’.

She told followers: I’m waiting for this glow. I had a flare, not a flare! Everyone says, ‘Oh, you’ll be in your glow-up era, you’ll be in the gym doing pilates’ [but] I’m like a chicken sitting on an egg! I haven’t moved.”
