Pregnant Charlotte Dawson wows in white bridal gown as she leads the stars alongside Love Island’s Molly Smith and Tom Clare at the National Television Awards

Pregnant Charlotte Dawson looked sensational as she led the stars at the National Television Awards at the O2 in London on Wednesday night.

The 31-year-old reality star, who revealed last month that she is expecting her third child, turned heads when she stunned in a white wedding dress.

Charlotte looked radiant as she showed off her ample cleavage in the plunging ensemble with elaborate pleated sleeves and matching tutu skirt.

This year’s National Television Awards will take place at their usual venue at The O2 London on Peninsula Square and will be broadcast live on ITV from 8pm.

The NTAs have taken place at the O2 every year since 2010, with the exception of the rescheduled 2022 event at Wembley.

Comedian Joel Dommett will host the awards ceremony for the fourth time.

Meanwhile, Jungle King Sam Thompson and his buddy Pete Wicks will make their first appearance this year on the red carpet.

There are rumours that Holly Willoughby will also return to UK screens as part of Joel’s presenting team.

The former This Morning presenter, 43, is set to work with her old colleagues again after quitting the daytime programme in October after 14 years as co-host.

Her departure followed the discovery of a kidnap and murder plot against her by security guard Gavin Plumb, who has since been jailed for the plot.

In an interesting twist, Holly’s This Morning successors Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard have been passed over for an NTA nomination in the Best TV Presenter category.

Although the show itself is up for an award in the Daytime Programme category, Cat (47) and Ben (49) narrowly missed out on the prize, having been brought in by ITV bosses in March after Holly and Phillip Schofield left the show.

Their favourite co-host, Alison Hammond, 49, has knocked them out of the Best TV Presenter category after she secured another nomination.

Last year, This Morning missed out on the Best Daytime Television award for the first time in 12 years.

Alison is up against Bradley Walsh, Claudia Winkleman, Stacey Solomon and Ant and Dec, who have won the award for the past 22 years, in the TV presenter category.

Elsewhere, Michelle Keegan scored an impressive hat-trick at the awards show after being nominated for three awards, including a Nod for Best Dramatic Performance for her record-breaking series Fool Me Once.

The Coronation Street actress starred in Netflix’s adaptation of Harlan Coben’s mystery novel in January.

Michelle earned a nod for her role as military woman Maya Stern, who mourns her murdered husband when she sees him on a nanny cam in her home.

The series also received a nomination in the New Drama category, while Brassic, which stars Michelle Erin Croft, was nominated for Best Comedy.

Fool Me Once became one of Netflix’s biggest hits ever with over 100 million views – and boosted Michelle’s drama career.

The soap star has previously been nominated four times for the NTAs, three times for Coronation Street and once for the BBC’s Our Girl.

Toby Jones also receives an award in the drama category for his role as former postmaster Sir Alan Bates, one of more than 550 claimants who have taken legal action against the Post Office.

The ITV drama faces stiff competition from Netflix hit Baby Reindeer, romantic drama One Day and Fool Me Once and Red Eye for the award.

Meanwhile, Jones is up against actress Jessica Gunning, who is also nominated for Best Drama Performance for her role as Martha Scott in the dark comedy Baby Reindeer. In the film, her character stalks comedian Donny Dunn after he offers her a free cup of tea at the pub where he works.

Although Claudia Winkleman – whose other show The Traitors is nominated for the Reality Competition – has been nominated in the TV presenter category, she will have a tough challenge to overcome, including Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh, Stacey Solomon and regular winners Ant and Dec.

The Geordie duo have now won the award 22 times and are looking for a record 23rd victory.

They could also win the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, as Saturday Night Takeaway goes up against I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! – another show of theirs – along with The Graham Norton Show, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and The Masked Singer.

In addition to BBC mega-hit The Traitors, there are also The Apprentice, Celebrity Big Brother, Love Island and Race Across The World in the Reality Competition category.

Elsewhere in the Serial Drama category, Coronation Street’s Peter Ash has been nominated for his role as Paul Foreman, who fights a devastating battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He will be up against EastEnders’ Angela Wynter, Coronation Street’s David Neilson, EastEnders’ Diane Parish and Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper.

Former England captain David Beckham and pop star Robbie Williams are also nominated for the NTAs in the Authored Documentary category for their Netflix docuseries. Actress Rose Ayling-Ellis is also nominated for her documentary exploring attitudes towards the deaf community, and comedian Rhod Gilbert for his documentary exploring his cancer treatment.

The series will compete against Kate Garraway, who has been nominated for the third time in the Author Documentary category, for Derek’s Story, a documentary about the last year of her late husband’s life before he passed away in January.

With more masters of their craft on television than ever before, the NTAs is reintroducing the Expert category.

Strictly Judge Anton Du Beke is competing for the award in the year that the celebrity dance show celebrates its 20th anniversary. His three fellow judges were on the longlist for the award.

It appears the dance show is finally coming to fruition after the series of scandals that have plagued the show in recent months.

The upcoming 20th season was thrown into disarray when professional dancers Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice were accused of abusive behavior by celebrity partners. A verdict in the investigation into the latter is expected within days.

While the claims raised concerns that the new series would struggle to recover, it appears Strictly is starting to come to terms with the scandals.

The show has been nominated in the Talent Show category and Anton has received an Expert nomination.
