‘I think it also changes as they get older. It’s different now,” Carey admitted when talking about how parenthood has “influenced” her “career choices” over the years.

The award-winning star continued: ‘When they’re small, they’re like laptops. Now mine are getting a bit older, it’ll become clearer what is and isn’t possible for us.’

The actress also reflected on how both she and her husband have the opportunity to pursue their passions in their career.

“I’m so lucky, we’re both so lucky that right now we can do jobs because we want to do them, not because we have to.”

‘And that is a luxury in life and in the world to be able to do that. I think it’s pretty obvious when the time is right to do something and not, whereas I think I’ve probably debated more in the past. I feel very cut and dry,’ she concluded to the post.
