Pregnant Brittany Mahomes to be induced TODAY as she and Chiefs star Patrick prepare for third child

Brittany Mahomes is set to be induced today, while Chiefs star Patrick’s wife has yet to give birth to the couple’s third child.
Brittany’s due date was reportedly set for Sunday, and the quarterback previously spoke about his desire to hold down the AFC’s No. 1 seed and earn a postseason bye as the big day quickly approaches.
However, it’s now officially game week for the Chiefs – who will host the Texans on Saturday – and Brittany will be induced today, as CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson previously reported.
After their 38-0 dead-rubber loss to the Broncos in Week 18, in which Mahomes and many other starters were rested, the team was heavily delayed in returning home due to inclement weather.
After the team finally returned to Kansas City, Wolfson provided an update on Mahomes and his growing family.
“No one is happier to return to KC than Patrick Mahomes. He told me his wife Brittany will be giving birth to their third child on Sunday,” she wrote on X on January 6.

It has now been confirmed that Mahomes and the Chiefs will face the Texans in the divisional round on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
On Christmas Day, he and his team faced the Steelers away from home, and Mahomes said he and Brittany would welcome their third child “any day” before the game.
“Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season, so I should try not to stress her out so much during these football games and say goodbye,” he said.
Kansas City earned a first-round bye in that game as they comfortably defeated Pittsburgh 29-10.
Brittany and Patrick’s third child will have sister Sterling, 3, and brother Bronze, 2, as siblings.
Brittany previously showed off her growing baby bump on social media, writing a message to her third child earlier this month.
“Hello 2025, we are ready for you little one,” she said wrote on Instagram.
It hasn’t been a stellar season for Mahomes, as he threw for under 4,000 yards for the first time as a starter, but he and the Chiefs will nonetheless have high hopes of reaching their third straight Super Bowl.
