PowerWash Simulator heads to the grimdark future of Warhammer 40K
PowerWash Simulator is mostly about a relaxing time while hosing down some grubby sheds, vehicles and houses. Developer FuturLab likes to shake things up every now and then. For example, players have been tasked with exploring Bikini Bottom, Lara Croft’s mansion, and even the world of Final Fantasy 7. This next collaboration may be the most unexpected yet, as the player and their trusty powerwasher venture into the grim world of Warhammer 40,000.
If you’re unfamiliar with Warhammer 40K’s sprawling setting, it’s set in a future of “only war,” where humanity now survives under the “cruelest and bloodiest regime imaginable.” While the player is warned to forget about the power of technology and science, apparently that doesn’t apply to the lowly powerwasher. The world of Warhammer is absolutely filthy, and it’s up to you to come along and hose off all that grime to reveal the shiny plastic and chrome underneath. Mankind’s god-emperor would be proud!
There are many games that delve into the hive cities and housing blocks of Warhammer 40Kincluding the co-op shooter Dark tide and the forthcoming Space Navy 2. But it is rare that the player is ever sent to this world to relax. Thank goodness for PowerWash Simulator; the game requires no muscle reflexes or survival instincts.
Warhammer 40,000 X PowerWash Simulator coming later this year.
